Great job by the Wave in solidifying their roster this month. Cedar Rapids also made themselves better by bringing in Taylor Bond and signing several others.

Meanwhile, Saint Louis didn't sign a single free agent player. For a city with such a rich soccer tradition (indoor and outdoor), it is disappointing to not have a competitive indoor team. They will have to make do with the odd veteran or two and random guys from tryouts. Disappointed. I plan to attend more games in Cedar Rapids and Kansas City, maybe Milwaukee. At least in those cities I can see decent winnig soccer.

I am a little surprised that the Wave brought back Jonatan Santos, as he is a bit up in years and runs counter to the Wave's youth movement.

    Unless...

They decided that they needed a veteran to man the back line. But even then, I might have gone for someone without the significant injury history.

On the other hand, he adds a LOT of energy on the pitch, so correctly channeled, the Santos signing could be big.

Hope they find room to bring Vandegriffe back, though.
