It was a meaningless game. So it really doesn't matter ;)

Following every sports cliche in the book, the All-Stars had "more to prove" than the Nats (BTW--the Nats were hardly at full strength with the likes of Lalas and Burns, n'est pas?)

I'm surprised Kreis didn't pull a Hernandez and go after Bruce. :)

I just enjoyed a fairly hotly contested match. No brutality, but consistant action both offensively and defensively. It was a good show.

The U.S. had more shots something like 20 to 12.It was all MLS players so whats the big deal.
Dont forget MLS had Marco Etcheverry of DCU!

I was surprised that the US lost to the MLS boys. Even with the supermen on the MLS side.

    great in spite of all

even with abbreviations, bad weather, et al it was the best Contest of its kind, (All star) etc of any sport. I think in this fromat both teams came to play, with the aformentioned Kries (Etch , Klien) and like wanting to prove something. IT WAS GREAT

The full-strength national team couldn't beat the Richmond Kickers...

Surely you remember that match? The one that caused the biggest panic we've had this year?

I do, but to catagorize that as a real true game with something on the line, I really don't. But hey, you never know...
