You forgot one..... Mary Baker Eddy...born Dec. 25 1821 [actually July 16...but close enough] I still read her newspaper.
Well, since they are all singing in mass in the morning, that should satisfy their Jesus needs. Looks like I convinced them to do teppanyaki. I have successfully did my part to fight off Christmas.
Just wanna add that tonight there will be pro Gridiron, Bengals vs Texans. It's very rare that there are any pro sports on the night of Dec 24th because leagues want to protect the "sanctity" of the night. Monday and Sunday night games would be rescheduled to avoid xmas eve night, which was always ridiculous. But finally, at least Goodell's league is starting to budge. Can't find any other examples in the West where sports are played in prime time on xmas eve, if anyone here knows of any, please add. The Hawaii Bowl is before prime time out there, so that doesn't count.
Scotland had two matches today, one featuring Celtic, the other Rangers. Can't tell if they were prime time, though. Here's a schedule of every football match to be played tomorrow http://www.livescore.com/soccer/2016-12-25/ I was a bit surprised to see the Apertura playoff from Mexico's Premira division.
I am not sure who is winning the War on Christmas, but I do want to wish all my BigSoccer friends a very Merry Christmas. Peace be with you all and take a moment to count your blessings and give thanks.
Merry Christmas @TheUnmumsyMum I know how you appreciate a misunderstood child's drawing. Today my 6yr old drew Santa's reindeer in their stable 😂 pic.twitter.com/WdZETPObyn— Connie (@ConnieBen8) December 22, 2016
Actually, there were celebrations, with varying degree of religious significance, at about the time of the winder solstice thousands of years before those date. Certainly, as an atheist, I shall be slaughtering a cow chucking an Aldi 'Lime and Coriander Chicken dinner', in the oven later today
I'm not sure I do, tbh. I mean, why do you fella a get a free pass on all the bullshit and misery the rest of us have to put up with? Boring bloody in-laws droning on about their various illnesses. Stupid shit on the TV and being asked to perform in ridiculous nonsense when you're a kid. Suck it up dude, suck it up like the rest of us
It's tonight because it was delayed for the Club World Cup, in which America partook. I checked on twitter to see if anyone complained, but everything looks good, people are hyped. Orale vato! Saludos, aqui tenemos los tamales listos para comer. Comete unas con un Tecate
Really? I'm stuck with mine. Actually, that reminds me of the old joke, (the only ones I remember nowadays), during a Ronnie Corbett monologue on 'The Two Ronnies'. He said he'd been reading an interesting article in 'Readers Digest'. It was between two other articles. One was about a woman who had brought up a family of 14 children single-handedly whilst waiting for directory enquires to answer, (he gestured to indicate someone holding a phone), and the other was entitled 'I neglected my spleen and my knee-caps fell off'. Of course, I'm sure we both remember them for this...
On my 2nd visit to church this yr, I re-learned something that I had forgot: This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. Joey almost contributed to a rise in single parent Messiah families of Judea.
I was looking out my winder just this morning and counting my chickens .... just to make sure you really went to Aldi.
I hear that in the original, practically the full cast was Jewish, with a few Romans making cameo appearances.
Siddartha Guatma (spell?) was not born on December. To be fair, neither was Jesus (most likely March-May season).
