Well Chicago was already ahead, and this just about clinches the #2 spot. I thought Minnesota might be able to pass them considering they have a game in hand and Chicago has an almost certain loss coming up against FC Indiana, but now the Gaels would have to lose to Kalamazoo for that to happen, which doesn't seem likely.

Fortunately for Seattle, Vancouver is motivated to get a result against Real Colorado because they need to secure 2nd place and home field advantage.

Chalise Baysa's bicycle kick puts the Seattle Sounders Women past the favored Vancouver Whitecaps and earns they a USL W-League Semifinal match up against the Pali Blues.

I'm not sure if that is good or bad news for the Sounders. It will be nice to face someone other than our Western Conference rivals (this happened in 2006 when we had to play the host whitecaps for the third time that season) but, we held our own against the Blues and just may have found the magic upset based on what we'd learned so far this year.

Click here to see the Bicycle Kick goal that put Seattle past Vancouver.

Some words about the media coverage the Sounders Women have received over the last three years in my personal blog.

Does anyone know where we might be able to track the games today? I saw where the finals will be tape delayed Sat night. I would like to see how the games are going real time today.

They aired last year's semis and consolation match via USLLive, but I see no sign of that this year. In fact, they seem determined not to broadcast the Washington Freedom matches since those were practically the only playoff matches not aired.
