We are in a serious bad financial situation (w/debt 22M€). The last presidente (Emilio Macedo Silva) ruined the club with disastrous management. In final March had elections for new president and Julio Mendes wins. He proposed a "SAD" (i dont know in English but is like a FCP, SLB model manage). I dont know if suporters aprove this management model. The salaries have been paid slowly. In field, the team relatively is playing well. We recover the last games and discover a new Drogba (Hilal SoudanI)
Sounds like they tried to play the spending game and didn't have the revenue to back it up. We've done well to remain competitive in the league outside of the Big 3.. maybe the fanbase can't support the roster
Romors of Guimaraes wanting Adriano (GK of Gil) and Enzo Perez of Benfica. VSC also trying for a very ambitious move for Carlos Martins of Benfica that is currenttly at Granada FC. Sochaux of Ligue 1 want Soudani of VSC. the ammount is said to be 3M euros. Soudani has scored 3 goals in 8 games and came to VSC as Algerian Ligue top goalscorer
Looking forward to see where this team goes with the youth, Amorim & Ribeiro are young players to watch out for. Let's see if Marco Matias does well upfront, a sporting product.
Game-tying goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time. (Vitoria 1-1 Maritimo) I felt like I was watching the Earthquakes again!
Hahaha... Not unless the Colorado Rapids changed uniforms and started playing in the Portuguese Liga.
Yup - he got some decent play time last year but mainly as a sub. Had a handful of goals. Not sure if he'll be there next year, as the MLS draft is coming up soon and trades get made. Not sure how attached CO is to Kamani and vice versa.
In a year of several cuts on the budget, we are 6th in the league and in the Cup semifinals. We are an example for many clubs in Portugal and in the foreign. The bet in youngsters has proven fruitful and we discovered many talented players which can pay our big debt. Fortunatelly we have a great manager and the board are doing their job so Vitória is recovering from the financial clash without big troubles when it comes to sports shed. We will play the first leg of the Cup semifinals on March 27 th, at Belenenses stadium. Me and thousands of Vitorianos (Vitória supporters) will be there to push the team into the final!
IS he still with them? yes, i'm too lazy to look for myself... =( scratch that. i did look. as of right now he is still with them, #13. kool.
We won 2 nil and we´re a small step to reach the Cup final! Here is the video of the game´s highlights - http://videos.sapo.pt/erJV5bRECjGC5JeGwrNs And some photos of the 2.000 Vitória fans that made a 200 miles trip in the middle of the week to watch the game!
Guess who´s in the Cup final? Yesterday we won 1-0 on the 2nd leg (aggregate 3-0) and we´ll meet Benfica in the Cup Final at May 26th. I trully believe that this time we will win it! FORÇA VITÓRIA!!!
