O Vitória de Guimarães assegurou esta segunda-feira a contratação do defesa José Nando (ex-Paços de Ferreira), que rubricou contrato pelo clube da Cidade-Berço por uma época.

O jogador, de 28 anos, encontrava-se em final de contrato com o Paços de Ferreira, clube que representou durante as três últimas temporadas, depois de passagens por Penafiel, Leça e Gil Vicente.

Esta é a primeira contratação desde que Vítor Magalhães foi eleito presidente e, logo de imediato, Manuel Machado oficializado como treinador. Mas nos próximos dias poderão existir novidades...

O Vitória de Guimarães foi uma das diversas equipas da SuperLiga a darem início aos trabalhos para a nova época esta segunda-feira.




Um dos reforços presentes no Estádio D. Afonso Henriques foi o húngaro Atlília Dragóner, envolvido num «caso» devido a ter alegadamente também assinado pelo FC Brussels, da Bélgica.

O novo presidente do Vitória, Vítor Magalhães, mostra-se esperançado que «o Guimarães consiga um campeonato ao nível do que o clube merece» revelando que o plantel está longe de estar fechado «faltando ainda cinco jogadores que são esperados durante a semana».

Marco Ferreira é um dos desejados em Guimarães, havendo também as possibilidades César Peixoto e Ricardo Fernandes, - todos do FC Porto -, enquanto Alex, do Benfica, tem «99 por cento de hipóteses» de rumar a Guimarães.

Neste arranque para a nova temporada foram notadas as ausências de Cléber, que ainda não renovou, e os reforços Alexandre (São Paulo, Brasil), Luís Mário (ex-Curitiba, Brasil) e Silva (ex-Sporting).

Magalhães, que voltou a referir-se à questão do «buraco» financeiro, considerou que «o Vitória está a crescer com dificuldades financeiras mas vai lutar nesta temporada, pelo menos, pelo sexto lugar».

Para o técnico Manuel Machado «o Vitória vai passar por um novo desafio, mas vai trabalhar no sentido de potenciar os recursos humanos de que dispõe e apontar para o sexto lugar europeu como o primeiro objectivo».

O plantel vimaranense irá realizar duas sessões de treino diárias repartidas pelo Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, Complexo e Termas de Vizela.
