I think that you meant goodbye to 2009-2010 season. I went ahead and closed that thread and stuck this one as you had requested. Good luck this season.

Villarreal had Senna in the Market for approx €3m, but he came back from Brazil and said he talked to Manager Garrido and they agreed he could stay.
He would like to contribute in his final year of contract w/Villarreal

Anyway, Senna and his wife are expecting another baby and that is also the reason he doesn't want to leave Spain @ present time.

However, the latest rumor is Barca are interested in signing him as replacement for Yaya Toure ...

    Pending:
Carlos Marchena (D): Valencia - To -> Villarreal (For €2.2m)

Carl Marchena passed his medical and will offically become a Villarreal

I'm really going to miss Godin...it was great how he was scoring goals late last year.

Looks like Ernesto Valverde is going back to Olympiakos -- which is great, because the rumor last week was that he was going to Japan to coach.

Don't know if he's "on the verge." Just a lot of rumors and speculation at the moment.

Re: Villarreal 2010-2011 Official Thread [R]

Juventus have made a formal bid to Villarreal for Capdevila at €5 million. The club, however, says that is not enough.

Juve have offered 5 million euros for the transfer of the world champion left-back, but this offer is considered insufficient by Villarreal, which does not want to give up such an important player just days before the start of the league -- unless the transfer fee is higher.

In the hypothetical case that the departure of Capdevila is confirmed, a possible replacement is Roberto Canella, a Sporting player valued at 6 million euros.
