Anyone know of any viewing parties/bars/pubs/etc. to gather and watch games around the Columbia area?

If there isn't and people are interested, I'd be willing to call a few places and try to get a spot and make sure the game will be shown, maybe the Green Turtle or something like that.

I don't know of any but I'd be down to watch matches in that area. I stay in Millersville and sometimes don't want to ride all the way to Finn's. Keep me in the loop.

I know I've seen a few other people on the forum from Laurel and Columbia, so I think it would work out. Be nice to get a group from the area together, may help out with rides or game day parking and rides also.

I work at Victoria Gastro Pub on Snowden River Parkway. I'm sure that if you ask them to play the game, they will do it on at least one of their TVs at the bar. There is no sound, but a lot of people gather at the bar to watch games and all. Just let me know and we can talk to them.

Thats cool, I think that is where the Bennigan's use to be. That would be good for me, since I only live about a mile or two from there. Hopefully well get some more input from others.

I was looking at the website.

That place has a pretty large selection of beers.

We have happy hour from monday-friday from 4-7 and past 10 (11 on fridays). We also pass out free hors d'oeuvres at the bar from 6-7. The beer/wine list is infinite.

As for the dress code, I've seen people come in wearing basically nothing to sweats to suits...so whatever suits you, pal

I think the over messaging from Troy was the reason the database crashed today at Big Soccer, just a joke.

Just let me know if you're all down with it. Are you thinking of going on saturday? I'll talk to my managers and let them know. How many tv's do you want? Both or only one?

I dunno if Saturday is going to happen unless we can find a place that has direct kick. Does the Victoria Pub have access to the game this Saturday night?

Yeah I was thinking that too. We have csn, all HD channels, espn2, etc. I saw that we had direct kick on our listings but it is PPV.

If the bars have to buy it from PPV, maybe they would front the money if a good group gets together and comes out to see a few espn/comcast games first.

I can ask them if you want me to. Either that or you can call and ask them about it. If you tell them that a good group will get together, they can't say no. I'm sure they would love the company

    Another place to check out:

    http://www.michaelspub.com/

Its in Columbia, about a mile right off RT. 32 and Broken Land Parkway, by the new Harris Teeter. They have a separate Dinning room and Pub. I've eaten there and the food is pretty good. Like a lot of things in Columbia it is hidden in one of the neighborhoods. This place would be pretty convenient for those coming from Odenton and Millersville.
