CHO playing on the right, Willian on the left.

RLC left in the mid 3 and Barkley right.

happy to report the team look lively and up for this, given it's an unnecessary game it's good to see. think the changed team helps, got some players here wanting to impress.

predictably, we have seen the back 4 not totally jiving though.

i'm kind of getting the sense that everyone is trying to do something individually because of how this game is setup. build up looks good but the final third we lose composure and everyone is trying to do something for themselves.

the glaring exception to that is RLC who looks by far the most composed, willing to make space, make runs, link up, etc. Barkely too actually. the front three and the fullbacks though specifically, are all just running with their heads down it seems.

edit: unfortunately this seems to mean the CHO hasn't been involved much because zapps wants to be a winger and score a goal.

willian finds an opportunity to run at the middle and gets a free kick well outside the box. he was always going to take the free kick, had a feeling it was going to go in, and it did. honestly the keeper probably should have moved a bit quicker, it wasn't all the way in the corner, but it did dip a little.

    0-1 to chels.

and as i'm typing this vidi score an equalizer on a corner. AAAAND it's an own goal. ampadu puts in. it was an awkward ball to deal with to be fair, but still...own goal.

    1-1

Why is Willian even playing? He should be resting.

Morata off injured, left knee. just landed awkwardly apparently, couldn't really see anything on replay.

Giroud comes on for the last couple mins of the second half.

Because we don’t have winger depth. Hazard is hard no for this game. We have Willian/Pedro as a starter/sub then Cho. Moses is on his way out so they likely shut him down so he doesn’t pick up an injury.

moses was injured a couple weeks ago, i know that. so it's likely he may not have been ready for this anyway. but yea, also makes sense that we should be playing CHO over moses at this point anyway.
