Nice surprise with the new Far Cry, Die Antwoord is part of the soundtrack. There's something surreal about listening to Fatty Boom Boom while infiltrating an outpost and blowing stuff up.
I have the first 3 Far Cry's in my library but I've never played them. I have been considering Far Cry 5 because the plot intrigues me. How many hours of gameplay is the game?
That last question actually a tough one because it depends on how much time you want to put into it. I do everything in these games (main quest line, side quests, treasure hunting, hunting, exploring every inch of the map) and screw around a lot longer than your average person. I find some of the random chaos that ensues to be absolutely hilarious at times, in short - dumb fun. Looking up my Far Cry 4 play time and I put in close to 100 hours, while I'd estimate most people doing a ton of stuff put in about 30-50 hours. I haven't played 5 yet (I've seen some of it live streamed and it's in my library). I jumped into the sequel New Dawn first because it's shorter than the typical Far Cry game. If you make 5 your first Far Cry game you'll be getting the same kind of gameplay and mechanics you'd see in 3 or 4 (stay away from Primal). Personally I'd recommend trying 3 first since it's in your library to see if you like the style, most people who enjoy Far Cry like 3 the most.
I can't wait for more hands on with this. For those of you asking, yes, we will be at E3 this year.— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) February 28, 2019
Victoria II. Started a new game as Krakow. All the cheats are on and it's still impossible playing out of a single tile.
Not sure if anyone is playing Anthem, but I think the wares vendor in Fort Tarsis (Prospero) looks a lot like Brandon Vincent!
I'm sorry but Anthem is like an early access title when it comes to content (the gunplay is solid though). Warframe which is completely free to play (and one of the best free to play tittles ever made) is an entire universe better.
True. It's buggy af. Most new games today seem like full price betas. And it was obvious that Anthem was an attempt to capture some of the Destiny / Warframe market so no surprise there. But I've been playing Bioware games since KoTOR so I take the good w/ the bad. Change has been forced on them for the worse since the EA acquisition, but I have hope they get back to the rich stories and single player campaigns they're known for.
I loved Bioware for the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, but they're on a Fire-esque slippery slope of mediocrity. Only the latest DA stills has the magic of the originals. I don't think the new ME was as bad as most, but it was not up to par. Some really simple mistakes. Welcome to a brand new galaxy, we have two, count them two, species of aliens here. Just no ambition whatsoever.
I got my Steam Link Anywhere working outside the home network yesterday, but you need a fast wi-fi connection for anything to be playable. Even sitting next to a cellspot doesn't help the 4G experience. This could be useful if you're at someone's house and they have a good wi-fi signal but other than that it just isn't there yet. IT has the wifi ports blocked in the office so the place I'd want to play games the most is a no-go.
The problem isn't with how close you are to your cell spot it's the latency of the 4G network, which is probably in the 150-175ms range. Maybe when 5G comes it'll solve the issue.
Well, clearly, it is because Paunovic listened to the hand wringers on BigSoccer and benched him. Nikolic has to fill his time somehow.
As a HUGE Borderlands fan I'm stoked. Put it in my veins, it's been too long waiting for this sequel.
Path Of Exile is releasing for the PS4 today for those even mildly interested in Diablo-like action RPG's. It's completely free to play and is the game Diablo 3 should have been. Yes it's free the only thing you pay for are cosmetics but you don't have to if you don't care about them. It's mind boggling how much content you get for a free download. I'd put it up there with Warframe as one of the best free to play games ever made.
I can't second this enough - I started playing during open beta, and the game was already huge. The skill/gem system is awesome, crafting is fun, and they seem to churn out updates and/or new content every few months - every time I take a few months off, it's like a brand new game when I log in. easily the most fun multiplayer coop game I've ever played - high-end graphics card recommended for those times when all 5 of you are mashing power attacks and laughing hysterically.. I haven't played in a while, but I just read the wiki and sure enough, another expansion dropped while I was playing ME and Civ. Share your game name and I'll ping anyone who wants to play once I've reworked my skill trees.
