You know, the actual story seemed pretty interesting. Then they decided to re-skin it as PUBG and now all the children ruined it.
I just got Red Dead 2 and Assassin’sCreed Odyssey, so I guess I’ll see you guys in two years. Maybe we’ll be good by then.
Are you even a millenial? Aren't you actually "Generation Z" (or, as they would say in the UK "Generation Zed")? By the way, I completely agree with you about the anxiety and depression issues. I absolutely think that the physical social isolation of an electronic existence (friends on facebook, texting/messaging instead of meeting, "multi-player" games in different houses/towns/countries, etc.) compounds the issues you mention. Of course, on the other hand, you get to avoid having to look at really ugly people and avoid actually talking to people, so there are positives.
Technically, "Generations" aren't really a thing. It's just a way that older people group in younger people. EDIT: Also wanted to add something to this Ever since starting college I've found it incredibly hard to talk to new people face-to-face, because most everyone has headphones in or are talking to people they already know. Most of the people I consider friends I only know through online things because it's just too hard to talk to anyone in person anymore.
Of course, but not just how "older people group in younger people." Young people do the same thing, just in a more streamlined manner. Young people look at the world thusly: You are either "my age or younger" or you are "old." Headphones are removable. Earbuds are removable. They are not implanted and irremovable...yet! As for meeting people, it takes time. Plus, most people you meet in college are not worth talking to, anyway (as a part-time college professor, am I allowed to say that? ).
I suck at everything, but I definitely prefer Tempest. There is a nice "browser" version of Tempest. You use the mouse instead of the dial thingy. https://my.ign.com/atari/tempest
While I love Tempest, my love for it is currently on hold as the home arcade version I have came with a crappy spinner.
I've had RDR2 for like a month, but have only played long enough to ruin a robbery by accidentally shooting at a sheriff and then proceeding to get mauled to death by a bear when I ran out of town without my horse (which I had lost). Basically, I'm as good a gunslinger in real life as in the game. I tried to play after getting home last night, with the rest of my family in bed, but fell asleep before the game loaded.
Picked up an Xbox One X a weeks back, time to finish The Witcher 3 and play through the 2 DLC's in performance mode.
Good Lord The Witcher 3 looks phenomenal on the X, even running in performance mode. That 60fps goodness too.
Don't think I've ever had a bigger love hate relationship with any game than FIFA 19. I go in and change up formations and tactics just to pause the game and realize the game randomly shuffled the deck on me. No I didn't put Mbapabe at left back you ********ing morons. I swear this game is designed to just piss me off
Just started Mass Effect 1. It plays much better on this SSD rig than it did on the 5 year old computer with onboard video I tried it on ca 2012.
Still the best series ever, imo. I even thought Andromeda was ok. I was bummed when I heard there wouldn't be anymore sequels.
One of the top series for sure but not the best IMHO, Andromeda knocked the series down a few pegs. I'm currently finishing the Witcher 3 base game (restarted instead of continuing my old save) and it's definitely a contender for best RPG's of all time. The side quests alone are better written and fleshed out more than anything say the Elder Scrolls or Fallout series have ever done (they feel real as they finish many times realistically with bittersweet endings). Not to mention Gwent the card game within the game itself is simple to learn but requires thought to master. Going to dive into the expansions soon after which will add an additional 30-40 hours on top of my already 150 hour play through. I can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077 (makers of this Witcher series), CD Projekt Red are wizards at creating amazing worlds with fantastic stories.
I was replaying Baldur's Gate for the nth time when I noticed ME in my steam queue and remembered buying it 5 or 6 years ago when the rig sucked. Then I remembered "Hey, this rig doesn't suck" and started it up. It's a bit linear for my taste, and I'm not a huge fan of the FPS aspects, but the story telling and world building is premium Bioware, so I'm getting over it.
