I feel so privileged to have watched this guy from day one. The video, great as it is, only comes close to showing what an impact he had on this team and league. I have enjoyed seeing Beckham and Donovan in LA shirts, but the Little General is still my all time favorite G.
Thanks for the highlight clip TBR. I never had the privilege of watching Mauricio play much - I was just getting into MLS at the tail end of his career (2001'ish). But it looks like parts of his game were Landonesqe - a player who can break down defenses with his combination of speed, vision, and fantastic passing ability. LAG '16 needs it's own version of Cien. We have scorers and defenders but we really don't have a great passer on the team.
