Is it just me or do Nintendo games look prettier than their more powerful counterparts just because of the art?

It's spectacular, I haven't had a grin this big on my face since Ocarina Of Time. So many cool mechanics in the game.

Nintendo does have a knack for creating wonderful looking games on pretty weak hardware. Not only that their first party titles are second to none. The Wii U was a retail disaster but it has some of my favorite games on a console this generation.

I once won a Mario Kart 8 tournament with a fever of around 103.

After a full weekend with the new Zelda, I have to say it's one of my favorite games of all time, it really is that good. Right up there with Super Mario 64.

A few pics of the blood moon...

Home with the kid all day today (pink eye). Playing "life is strange". If anyone still needs some evidence in the "video games as art" argument, this is a prime example. Beautiful, emersive game. It plays like the greatest choose your own adventure book ever.

Kid. Although the doctor ordered her two full doses, assuming my wife or I'll catch it too.

Tonight's the night! Andromeda released at 11pm! I have tomorrow off, so probably no sleep. I'll, drunkenly/caffeinatedly let you all know how it is later.

I'm still playing the new Zelda but I'll get to Andromeda in the next couple of weeks.

I'm playing a chess game I set aside a couple years ago. Just going through "tests". They set the board up and you have to get to checkmate in 3 moves. Etc.

Just finished character creation. Already disappointed. Once in the first cutscene, my character looked like an inbred boat person. Restarting with the default. My Femshep was a work of art.

From what I've read one thing that's supposed to be hilarious or massively disappointing (depending on your expectations) is the character animation. I'll get my first look some time today when I watch put on Twitch an watch one of my favorite streamers play it.

Other than the awkward characters, Andromeda is pretty interesting. Stayed up way too late playing it. Probably should think of a good excuse to skip my lame duck work day tomorrow.

Anyone played Neir Automota yet? Really interested in it. Pretty cool looking story and the gameplay looks smooth.

Morphing this into more of a "random tech thread", what do you guys think of the new YouTube TV? Apparently it's already available in the Chicago area.

Fifa is what I play when I'm between better video games. It's a great time waster. Andromeda has me hooked, but not quite to the extent of the original three.

I was finally able to connect my Steam Link to my living room tv after replacing the closet light switch with an outlet/switch combo and running the cables through the wall. I have the day off tomorrow so to mark this occasion I will finally start playing GTA5 tonight.
