Just found out I have access to that on steam family Is it good though. I honestly know very little about games this gen seeing how the only people I followed in gaming quit IGN and I quit listening to the podcasts. Whoop whoop thanks for the recommendation of a recommendation. Turns out my brother has that game in his steam library I have shared with me. Remind me in a few months to play it
I'd say it it's very good (in the ballpark of 8-8.5/10 for me). The combat feels rewarding but you need to play it on very hard to offer any sort of real challenge. If you want to see gameplay for just about any games you should really head over to Twitch and watch some lives streams. HZD has about 100k viewers right now.
Stardew Valley is absolutely addictive. If you start playing, expect to play 100+ hours. I was thinking about why it's so addictive while playing yesterday and realized it basically functions to trigger the reward centers of your brain. Small, somewhat repetitive tasks that lead to larger successes and greater tasks. Even the save mechanism is designed to keep you going. The game saves every evening as your character sleeps. However, a lot of the payoff is in the morning where you can see your now grown vegetables/brewed beer/completed building, etc. If you start harvesting/selling, suddenly you need to finish that day to save again. It's a viciously enjoyable cycle. The only game that can come close to its addictiveness is the Civilization series for the exact same reason. "I'll just expand my Viking empire until I touch borders with that evil Abraham Lincoln. Well, now he could easily attack me. Better build an army. Now that I have this army, it's kind of a waste to just fortify it somewhere. If I attack Atlanta, I can gain sea access. Now that I have Atlanta, maybe I should just finish the Americans off before they ally with someone else and become a threat..." Meanwhile 4 months have passed.
shit, last night I went up to game room at 9 o'clock to turn out the lights. got back down to bed around midnight.
I've been playing too much FIFA to be considered "in the loop" on anything. Prey looks really damn cool, though.
I sold my copy of fifa today. Smartest thing I've ever done. Game brings out my "******** the entire planet mood" more than any other game in history. Sure you are outshooting your opponent online like 10-1 and have 65% possession but, ibrahimovich will just bounce off a defender and score a goal. Why not. Infuriating.
lol supergoalies. I remember CM99 or 2000 SI claiming there was no such thing until someone hacked the code years later and found they'd tried to code "goalie hot streak" or "goalie morale" or some shit which essentially made a successful save give the keeper a better chance to save the next shot, only they didn't have the code reset his base after each calculation, so the advantage was compounding.
It still kinda does that or at least i think ea does it to make it look pretty. Still pisses me off when you are spitting fire and the keeper seems impossible to beat.
Is it Friday yet? Is it Friday yet? Is it Friday yet? Is it Friday Yet? I... need... the.... new... Zelda... 98 on Metacritic right now, 56 press reviews and all of them positive.
Wii u or waiting in line for the switch? I should play some horizon zero dawn or something because now that i sold fifa i'm bored as ********. But, fifa made me angry as ********. there has to be some kinda middle ground in videogames. Now everything I play feels boring. Must be the dopamine rush from too much fifa or something
I'm getting it digitally for my Wii U the second it becomes available to download. I'm planning on picking up a Switch later this year when the new Mario drops and I'll grab a physical copy of the game for that then.
PC or console? Cutting edge or retro? I can't recommend Path of Exile enough. Genuinely free to play, massively replayable, and chock full of awesome loot.
Building my new PC keeps getting pushed back due to other priorities, so stuck with the old laptop. So no Torment: Tides of Numenera for me yet. Hope it's good.
