OMG, just watched it. 3rd day in a row... this is nuts! And yet TBH my smile tonight wasn't quite as big as the last 2 days.

Lucas Moura advances to play Liverpool in the CL Final.

At 2-0 I was thinking about him doing precisely this with a hat trick, but then hopes seemed to fade. But they must've been thinking about Mo Salah's T-shirt... just throwin spaghetti on the wall until, another moment of brilliance from a previously bit-part player.

    Credit due where credit earned.

Who needs Kane. Give Lucas a big fat contract. ;)

But if Kane is fit again, Poch is going to have one tough decision on May 31st.

I guess you wrote this after their first goal. But in the end, his timidity cost his team a bit of immortality. He could've put his boot in on Moura, but he was scared to give up a PK. Instead he gave up the game winning goal, and their chance to be in the BIG Final. Crushing.

If you're going to single out a player from Ajax, it has to be Schone. Beaten on the first and totally ********ed up the defensive work on the second following a brilliant save.

That could very well be. I didn't really watch the game in a normal way, I just fast-forwarded through it. And De Ligt's "judgment error" was the thing that stood out for me, at the ultimate decisive moment of the match.

Should I make a new poll-thread asking what outcome us Gooners will root for in the CL Final: Liverpool win or Meteor*?

The only acceptable options are meteor, swallowed by the earth, and alien invasion.

I guess I missed the point... I thought you were talking about FSG making a bunch of bad transfer decisions, but then you listed a handful of mediocre-ish players on which LFC mostly earned their money back. So, is that your evidence for a bunch of bad transfer dealings by FSG pre-Klopp? Is that not what's being discussed?

Maybe I'm confused. I'm just responding to the arguments as I read/understand them.

If we were talking about H&G, now that would have evidence for very bad overall transfer dealings.

Was on another site when I read that Moura completed his hat trick.

I wanted to punch my screen, then rip it out and throw it out a window.

WHY AJAX, WHY?! YOU HAD THIS IN THE BAG!!!!

Nah, I'll root for Liverpool...just to see the jealousy of Citeh supporters. They have to "settle" for the PL but Liverpool get the prize they crave.

I'd prefer Liverpool too, but if they were playing Ajax it would have been pretty awesome to see them lose the big cup final on the 30th anniversary of St. Michael Thomas. So we'll have to settle for meteor, sinkhole, and/or alien invasion.

I would've thought the flavor of the day would be a black hole. Then again, that would surely be in order if, you know, the unthinkable happens.

The foursome that sits behind us at Atlanta matches is led by a married couple of Liverpool fans. Shook his hand last night with a death grip and told him on no uncertain terms was S***s to win a European Cup. I think I actually hurt him seeing as I was so pissed at seeing the final score.

Maybe now Poch is more appealing to Barca? One can only hope.

What kind of fake ass fan is this? Roma fans are default anti-Liverpool. I’m stuck supporting them now because of our scummy neighbors...

I wanna see Wenger with actual resources...not Roma lol

He's joking. Lewis is an Arsenal/Dortmund fan. Just thought it was funny and you'd have a laugh.
