And yet he has "failed" at international level apparently

It can't be easy as a GOAT to play for a somewhat average team, let alone a poor one.

When I was a kid we had Wynton "Kiwi" Rufer who later starred for Bremen's great side of the early 90s and scored in the UEFA Cup Winner's cup final and won four major trophies.

For some strange reason he opted to play for NZ, and starred as a kid in NZ's 1982 World Cup side in Spain, playing against the stacked Scottish team of that era for example.

He was so wildly better than the rest of our team.

I last saw him play for Auckland as 40+ year old player manager.

He could hardly run but played as sweeper and his technique and sense was still so much better than anyone else it was embarrassing. :ROFLMAO:

Not saying Messi does not have decent colleagues - clearly he does.

But he must be frustrated he has never got to play for a clearly strong side.

Having said that, Maradona was the icing on that cake. His genius was the difference maker for them in '86.

I saw some of the comments made by Sampaoli after the win and he fully realizes that Messi can't be asked to shoulder the load. Everyone on that team has to do their part and when they do, he can be the difference maker as he's been so many times with Barca.

It’s only a risk to pay biid due to injuries

IMO he is the best nba c when fit

Towns, brow, and boogie are better.

The pg, sg, sf, pf, and c labels don’t really exist anymore in the nba, though. Most teams have a primary ball handler, 2-3 wings, and 1-2 bigs.

Jordan has bad injuries at the beginning too

Mebe. Biid is a better defender than all 3

    Better shooter from 3

    Can score inside

Is as mobile as anyone there

Jordan had a broken foot his second year and he returned for the playoffs the same year. Other than that one major injury he missed very few games throughout his career. With respect to injuries, a more appropriate comparison might be Bill Walton.

I'd only take Brow over Embiid. Towns is not a good defender and Boogie and Embiid both have not made the playoffs.

Embiid is the best defensive big in the league already. Its just health with him, but he is arguably already a top 10 player in the NBA.

Boogie is the second most overrated player in the NBA. #1? CP3.

The weird thing is, I'm actually excited to watch Bulls games this year, even when our team is full of Tank Commanders. (yes the entire East is AWFUL: watching the Cavs play with D-Rose and Wade alongside Bron-where's the defense coming from, straight out Lakers 04, when a 84 year old Mailman tried to mail it in a vain attempt to get a ring).

Watching Thibs awful grind out iso's and slow, predictable B.S. sucked the life out the fans.

I want to see the players move, cut, dance and race all over, I want to see motion offense, the ball moving constantly, and players that can launch it from three.

We won't win much, but I'd rather see players develop with Hoiball. Lavigne, if he didn't get injured, no way they would have traded him. Basically a super-athletic and fast 2 who can launch 3s (especially corner 3s) and take it to the hole and great at the two-man game. Recovery has been good, from all accounts. Really liking what I see in Lawrie, but he looks like he's not afraid. Too soon of course to see if he is another Dirk. But he seems to have a great 3 ball, and could be ideal stretch 4. PnR with Lawrie and Lavigne could be really really good.

I dont think Boogie is even overrated. I just dont think he better than Embiid or Brow, or Towns.
I agree, but I am speaking on 10/13/2017.

If Embiid can stay healthy, he could be the best player in the league.

What concerns me though is Fultz shot.

I agree. Hoiberg has some good spacing ideas so it should be fun to watch. With the right mix of players his system could be excellent

Problem is u basically need a pg a sf and potentially a better c to make the playoffs

Citeh beating Stoke with an NFL scoreline.

Palace out of the blue trying to beat the champs with 7 mins to go. Wow. With Speroni back in goal no less. And Zaha showing how much he was missed earlier.

Edit: Sakho almost throws away the mighty victory with probably the stupidest backheel goal line clearance attempt ever. But they do it! Season firsts: scoring, points, HUGE win!!
