Too bad VfL you and Wosz have to go back down for a season, but its ok because you will be promoted right away and then go right back into the UEFA CUP, and then hopefully draw AJAX in the first round and send them home crying... which thats what you should've done in 1997... but hey its all good guys, Wosz is back and will lead you back up there... all you need is a striker, one that doesnt mess up games for you and scores a goal or two a game. everything else will come your way.

    That's a little over-optimistic, don't you think???

How does one support two different Ruhr-area teams?
That's like a Barcelona and Real Madrid fan.

I think he can because I believe Bochum and Dortmund share a common enemy. Schalke 04.

Borussia Dortmund and VfL Bochum aren't "friends", but I believe they are "good neighbors".

    Jonam???

Oh. I was under the impression that it's every team for itself in the "Ruhrpott".
    That's what it's called isn't it?

Isn't "Ruhrpott" what the locals call it? "Ruhrgebiet" is the more common usage across Germany, I think.

Hmm, I always say Ruhrpott but maybe that's because part of my family lives in Gelsenkirchen.

At least none of the big clubs in the Ruhr Valley (Ruhrgebiet, Ruhrpott, Pott, Revier) is loved by the other club's fans. Maybe Bochum supporters hate Schlacke more than BVB but in this special case it looks like "XIIGermanIIX" is from Bochum (before he moved to Texas) but also supports BVB.

Ask the Bochum how they like you. Harr, Harr, Harr.

You don`t understand, their coach was a Schalker, but their hearts are with Munich.

Excuse footy, but sometimes I must write that not all Dortmunders understand the rules.

And Schalke loves B. Munich like Dortmund do.
And the mean enemy is: goal: V.f.L. Bochum 1848. Joking, they are a club in Valley, not more not else. And they support Munich.

And so they are beloved in Duisburg -welcome again- in the BuLi.
They await you next year, I think you'll coming back.

Bla Bla, the whole team must get pulverisized and put in a Eggs Clock, that they learn to work.

Man, if all these players are as good as this person thinks they are, Iran should have a cakewalk to the World Cup title!! :)

    Re: Vfl BOCHUM THREAD

I support both because i grew up in southern germany, and of course started to support Munich at first, but when i grew up Riedle was my favorite player and so i started liking Dortmund more and more, until they won the Champions League in MUNICH, which was like the best day of my life, but Riedle left and Wosz was my new favorite player, so i favored Bochum, and around that time they entered the UEFA cup so everything worked its way from there.

He isn't really biased, he is right, the guys are good, or they wouldnt be on the team in the first place. Now on the other hand there is one player on the team that ruined the season, not going to name any names but if you know anything about this last season then you know what iam talking about :)

Same as for Cottbus this is the most recent thread I could find and they are the only two clubs without a thread in the new sub-forum.

    Hmmm..
No real news, Midfielder Dennis Grote recently renewed his contract.
    Derby in Dortmund this Friday.

As you can see, this one has not been updated since 2005. Not a whole lot of fans around here. But, if you are going to be updating it, I will put it in the new forum soon.

I can try to post something now and then, but I'd hope the higher visibility in the new sub-forum (all club threads would stay on the first page) would encourage everyone to post something in these neglected club threads. The barrier to post something in an existing, visible thread should be much lower IMO.

Seeing everyone else getting a high profile thread and these clubs getting left just feels unfair to me ;)
