5 years ago today, Montolivo solidified his status as legendary with this 20yard pass.

Thanks for all you've done Ricky!! We

Hmmm, so if you score in a U21 qualification playoff match you'll become world class?

    Dear Petagna,

I'm sorry I made fun of you.
You'll be a legend one day too.

    Regards,
    CP

PS - Italy never ended up out of the group stage at that U21 tournament, or any other that poor Ricky featured in...You know, as in the food for thought / proof in pudding kind of thing ;)

sure but the Azzurri sure could have used Montolivo in WC 14 and Euro 16

WC 14 they basically got the same result, not getting out of the group either, ditto WC 2010, which featured Montolivo too. He was introduced into 2008 Euro in the game against Spain and we all know how that went for Italy with all his wayward passing. Are we starting to see a pattern here? Euro 16 they did get out of the group and went on to coming close to eliminating the WC champions with a depleted squad, or was it? Hmmm. It can easily be argued that they did so because he wasn't there, like how Milan consistently perform better without him. The long flowing hair is overrated Rosay.

LOL fake news. Milan actually perform better with him on the field. and Euro 2012 Montolivo performed well

Right you are, hard to tell the difference between those two useless tits since both of them usually give the ball away and go missing in big games. It's also likely one of the reasons why Italy progressed out of the group stages, which if you look at it they hardly do when Montolivo features, right? The #'s don't lie :)

Not if you respect the stats.

He made one good pass that has obviously made a huge impact on you and Totti fan, but the reality of the situation was that even on that pass he was looking around like "who do I give this too" which is what he usually does, just try to get rid of the ball to anyone, and way too often to the other team. Lucky for him everyone else performed well above standard. He pulled a disappearing act in the final too, couldn't string together 2 passes. Time to move onwards from this guy who hasn't won anything significant.

    Well that settles it.

Barcelona will now end their efforts to sign Verratti and put in an enormous bid for Montolivo.

All the scouts and experts have all been wrong. This thread is the truth

you should know better than to spread unsubstantiated rumour. Has anyone currently at Barcelona even actually been quoted expressing interest?

Don't embarrass yourself, your window of opportunity to get off this train before it becomes a wreck is closing fast.
