I think he should go to Europe because Vergara is very unpredictable.

I certainly hope he chooses to go to Arsenal.

There's no way that can't help him more than staying here, the way I see it.

He'll play with and against players from parts of the world he doesn't get to play in Mexico, where you can only find southamericans.

Remember that European fiasco of Atlas? The guy that was from Italy, but was Swiss, but his parents were from planet Tatooine and they left before Darth Vader destroyed it? Well, it was something confusing like that, but I don't know if I remember correctly. Darth Vader definitely had something to do with it, though.

    Yeah, mine too.

Well, at least the dry ones.

The others have something to do with an Arse, but not Arsenal.

That would be great, Arsenal is one of the best clubs in england, much better than Bolton, but you need to start giving us links to your articles, otherwise you will lose credibility specially when there is an article contradicting what your article is saying.

I guessed where he got it by the format of the text. I'm smart. :)

There's also an article that sez: ''Juventus ha preguntado formalmente por Vela''

Thanks for the article, i would definitely choose Juventus over Arsenal, both teams are great, but Italy has a slightly better league, and i think he will become a better player.

I just hope that the family and chivas, or who ever is going to cut the deal, makes sure that he is going to the reserves in other words to the team thatt is just a step away from the first divisioin, that way he will be able to make the jump within 2 or 3 years or sooner. :D

by the way, rep has already been given. :D

If there are really offers from both Juventus and Arsenal...I would rather he go to Arsenal. Italy might have a slightly better league, but Mexico's weakness lies in the physical part of the game. I think he and Mexico would be better served by getting experience in that atmosphere. They play more of a servicing long pass game in the premiership, which I think would suit Vela strenght of finishing more. It will give Mexico an edge on some of our European and US rivals we haven't had. We always have a hard time against those teams because they are more physical than us. I think it would give Vela much needed experience, in how to combat it!

This sounds like the better deal for everyone involved. If Juve is indeed interested they can work out a deal with Chivas where they can own half his transfer or have first option to buy. Lets be honest now, there is no way Vela jr is getting playing time in Juventus. They recently sent Miccoli packing and he was tagged as the Italian Romario.

If Vela stays at Chivas he can soon debute with the first team and become a more experienced player; in two-three years he can easily make the move, and he will still be a young talent (20) and have matured into a better player, more mature and ready for first division footy in Europe.

Like many of you i am also excited about Vela jr, but i would like to see him develope in Chivas, if he can tear it up in the Mexican league i am sure he can succeed anywhere he chooses to play. Rushing our young talents at such an early age (16) is not the answer we are looking for in terms of having more players abroad.

I read the report where Velas jr borther Alejandro says that jr should go abroad, 'because opportunities like that dont come along twice'. Now that is a misconception. If you are a quality player then the big Clubs will come looking for you. It is that simple. If he had faith in himself to win the Golden boot at the U-17 WC then he can have faith in his ability to go abroad in two years time.

I agree with VS that this is not a one time deal if you are a great player. But I think it is the most clear deal. Now he has guarantee that he will go. If he doesn't go there is a possibility that he could not go.

The think is, that he actually has a better shot playing in europe, look at messi, is his playing now with Barca's senior squad and he is only 20, this same thing can happen to Vela but with a different club. Messi's glory came after the u-20 championship, which Vela will play in 2 years. I say, if he is to go to Arsenal let it be, he will definitely develope more.

Seems like Arsenal is almost a done deal, although I doubt he'll get a lot of playing time at the begining, Juventus sounds more like interested inquiries, either way good luck to the kid, he deserves it
