I don't know who you'd suggest they buy. If LA has no speed anymore then that's 1 thing but he instantly improves their counter attack
If he can play at least 1 or 2 years at the level he demonstrated at the Copa América, we SPFC fans have reasons to be very optimistic.
I will be interested to see if SPFC is going to stick with playing him at meia. Obviously, I think he will be quite effective there, but I still believe he might be even more effective at right back. Look at what has happened to Leo Moura in the twilight years of his career. After leaving Flamengo, teams tried playing him at meia. Then he goes to Gremio and they have been playing him at right back and he has had a bit of a resurgence to his career last year when he played there. Alves might touch the ball a bit less as a right back, but I think the space he will have as a right back compared to as a meia would be beneficial to his game. He's more dangerous when he has space to run at you.

We are probably entering another golden era but I don't know if I'm excited for it. Flamengo may have produced the best youth talent I've ever seen in the last 5 years and all are in Europe already. The splashing major money on 30 plus year olds is a bit mls style for me.
He's all about the money. https://globoesporte.globo.com/rs/f...rrida-no-mercado-de-agentes-por-ofertas.ghtml

Rogerio Ceni to Cruzeiro. Wow !!! Thought he'd stick with Fortaleza for the season. Guess he can't pass the opportunity up though.
Dumb move on his part. The deal is only till the end of this season. He did seem like he's been checked out of Fortaleza since the copa America break but I don't see this cruizeiro tenure being much different than the sao paolo tenure. Bad news for futebol brasileiro because he is one of the only future selecao managers I see.
any chance this might work? https://globoesporte.globo.com/ce/f...do-e-nome-agrada-diretoria-perfil-jovem.ghtml
@Mengão86 Does this rogerio move make sense to you? Remember when atletico made a move for him earlier. Is that not a better situation than cruzeiro now? I know people slam atletico's management all the time but is it really a worse place to work than cruzeiro , especially with this ongoing scandal???? Then you look at the rosters and outside the back 4 atletico is better. I saw a lot of cruzeiro fans bashing the approach to rogerio due to him having a team already and the fact they only offered him till end of the year from my understanding. Also is it time to stick the fork in fortaleza??
Nope. I was really disappointed to see it. I was hoping that he’d last this season there before moving to a bigger club. I agree that Atletico would be a better job. I think Cruzeiro’s FO is just as bad. It makes me wonder if something happened behind the scenes with Rogério and Fortaleza that made him pull the trigger on such a short term deal.
