Quick question: which LVG-era signing has been successful or trusted under Mou?

    ********ing Fellaini.

    Not at LVG signing.

Lingard was given a real chance by LVG but got hurt.

    Fellaini was a Moyes signing.

The only Van Gaal signings who Jose have gained some measure of trust in or who have been successful in one way or another under Mourinho are Herrera (mixed bag), Rojo (same) and Romero (he never was going to supplant Dave but is arguably one of the best backup goalkeepers around).

Herrera and Blind. They got involved a lot when fit maybe not starting.

Does Rashford count as a signing?

One of the most common criticisms of JM at Chelsea is his inability to give young, rising players a chance to develop into what they are today (KdB, Salah, arguably Lukaku) Losing Martial this summer (especially if he performs well at the world cup) would be HUGE loss. A player of his calibre is not easy to come by. The Board should do everything they can to keep him if they care about the club's future.

Mourinho is a cancer. He can criticize players attitudes all he wants. There are reasons some of these guys don't fight for him. The club's inconsistent performances are somehow magically all on the players.

Will Martial and Rashford be at the club next season?

    www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11361117/sunday-supplement-will-anthony-martial-and-marcus-rashford-stay-at-manchester-united-next-season

As mentioned, Martial leaving is all but a foregone conclusion at this point, unfortunately. The guy's head already looks elsewhere (plus talk of a swap deal with Willian, plus £40mil to United are gathering pace as well...).
No way Rashford leaves on the other hand: he had a poor game Friday but he's been pretty regularly used by Mourinho and he likes him (and his attitude). He'll be given time. The only scenario I could see him leaving is out on loan, but even that seems far fetched as he's needed for depth purposes.
To be perfectly clear though, losing Martial will be bad enough, but at least, let's send him abroad and not to a domestic rival where he can potentially torment us on a weekly basis and at least twice a year...

I understand his contract is for another year and then a club option for one more. Why the need to sell him now? Keep him, he's young, he's had a messed up personal situation since he's come to Man Utd but we all know he has tremendous potential. With any luck, we'll either be successful next year or will be getting a new manager who will know how to deal with young forwards.

The consensus is pretty clear from everyone (United and non United fans alike) that selling Martial would be a big loss and a stupid decision. No one wants him to leave... And apparently, neither the club nor Mourinho are too keen on selling him either.
But on the other hand, he will not be getting the minutes and game time he could expect either, so it stands to reason he would push for a move (especially given the clubs lining up for him).
We managed to keep him once last summer in the face of outside interest, but that probably won't happen again this time around. And honestly, how can anyone fault for wanting to leave? He's better than some option getting sporadic minutes/games.

Hopefully missing Russia 2018 will be his ticket to leave and go where his talents are truly appreciated. He should have left when they took his number from him...

Apparently his agent just confirmed to RMC that Martial wants to leave this summer.

What we all feared. If we lose AM and bring in Willian, I'm gonna puke.

    Should have been given more game time, victim of the Sanchez positional mis-management. From him though his inconsistency from one game to the next can be maddening, but at the end if the day there is this;

He was far superior to Sanchez this year when given minutes. This one falls completely on Jose. Mismanaged from day 1. He's going to become a top tier player and we're going to get stuck with a Jose drone out wide.

    ********ing sickening.

Not surprising at all. He should leave. He deserves far better than what he's had to deal with under Mourinho. He was miles better than Sanchez last season and should be without question in our starting front three.

Mourinho's antiquated views on offensive tactics are costing us more than points now, they are costing us talent.

Real question. If Martial's attitude isn't a issue, why has he fallen out with the French National Team as well?

If we can get at least 80 million for him, I hope the club respects his wishes. He doesn't deserve to be bullied for another year, or for his development to stagnate.

The same goes for any player that is being publically humiliated and treated like crap by Mourinho.

The board have chosen to continue their support for this manager unfortunately, so they've made their bed.
