Love how whenever Tony Marshall scored there's always a defender collapsed in a heap cos his head's been twisted in 12 different directions. pic.twitter.com/l7hBNzBF7c— Doc (@Doc_Joshi) February 11, 2017
Martial has made his feelings about the club very clear in today's press conference ahead of tomorrow's game, by saying he loves it at United and wants to be there for a while. Let's hope those BS reports about any discontent will stop for the time being at least.
He needs to tell his agent that. It's seemingly his agent constantly popping off about leaving/discontent/etc.
Still nice that he publicly addressed the topic (and so decisively), something Jose, no doubt, was very happy about, sitting next to him. If anything, that clearly sent a message to his agent, if he hadn't done so already...
As far as I'm concerned, the left wing forward position is his, and he needs to be in the first team to grow stronger in it. There is nobody in football I want to replace him with.
Yes or a quick ball carrying threat at 9 that runs at and beyond defenders from the 9 position. If Martial gets 1v1 marking, he is going to do damage.
And obviously width from his fullback. It is so easy to crowd him out because he is our only ball carrying threat.
Further proof that when it comes to United, the press will print and claim just about anything to increase their traffic or sales. Wasn't that long ago that Martial was all but out of the club and that his relationship with Jose was on the rocks. I'll bet there must have been some frustration, but his latest comments are clear that all things considered, he's still pretty happy at United.
Talk is cheap, with his ability we need to see him starting regularly and having an impact which isnt happening. While that is the case the media & agents will do what they do - between him and the manager they need to get this sorted.
Agreed. It would be nice to see Martial make a positive impact. He had one match in January when he pulled himself together. but it was a false dawn and he's going back to being meh since then.
Hopefully, Martial will have a nice part to play in the team's run in. Which would come at a nice time, considering the fact he should be pretty fresh. The issue with Martial, aside from suffering from clear second year syndrome to a certain extent, it definitely stands to reason that the players around him may not be entirely conducive in getting the best out of him. Having more pace on the team, especially getting more balanced on the opposite side (which we are not getting right now for some reason) should help with his productivity. But regardless, the fact that he appears to be happy to be at the club is still pretty nice to hear given the stories that were going around not so long ago.
Anthony needs to be pushed, like everyone else. I definitely don't want to see him get cushy in the knowledge that the left forward position is his regardless of performances.
Put Martial in the current Dortmund or Monaco team...and he'd be being touted for 150 million. It's not his fault he's in a poor team...so has to basically try and do a one man show everytime he gets the ball.
The dump I just took has more potential than Memphis. seriously..every time that guy took to the pitch, I thought it was some practical joke the rest of the footballing world was having on us.
It really was ridiculous how bad Memphis was for us. The man made Gabriel Obertan look like George Best. I'll never forget the laugh that Dutch posters on the caf had at our expense when LVG spent big for him. How right they were.
