    Fars- connection baby haha.

Plus, outside the "big 5" - iran, saudi, s. korea, japan and australia - uzbek i think is the best team outside of it. So there is lots of room for you guys to grow !!

Yeah, in our big cities like Bukhara and Samarkand majority speak in Tajik language, which is very similar to Persian or Farsi. Actually, I am from Bukhara and of course I speak tajik too. About other connections I don't know, my history is very poor. :)

Thank you very much for compliment. :)
But saying the truth, our national team is not so good like it was in 1994 when we became a chempion of Asian Games.

Thank you very much Mussav for your warm words about our Uzbekistan. Yeah, we got 1st place in our group last time.
But now, I don't think that we will be on top of our group. National team of Iran is very strong, so I think that they will get the first place. We are going to battle for the second place with China.

Yeah, I think Iran will for sure top it than 2nd place is between you guys and China. Which is a hard group, as you and China are probably the 6th-7th best team in Asia. Plus you and China both have noted European-based players, and they've been tested in great leagues. I hated the fact you guys were robbed of a WC spot btw, you guys owned Bahrain, and Arabic AFC cheated you.

About Bahrain..., we say it just the supremacy of God's will[FONT=trebuchet ms,arial, helvetica].
In Iran we have one football player, who plays for one of the teams of Iran's 1st league. His name is Zayniddin Tojiev. Do you know him, how is he there?

Naah Man, say something else, you really should trust your team and believe in your players, you have the talent and I think you can do it, Iran and China may be a strong teams but that doesn't mean you are weak or something, you are strong too and 2004 came by hard work and you deserved more than what happened in the world cup qualification. I know Uzbekistan beat Iraq twice but I have no hard feeling on you guys, you totally deserved it.

And you are welcome here between your Iraqi brothers any time, and you have to know that Arab really loves your team and love your country and your History.

Good luck in the Asian Cup and I want to see Uzbekistan 2004 team again. ;)

    overrated...ha-ha:D

no man, i am just another uzbek and who is not that friendly like Nurafshon. may be realist... i admit that Iran is strong but it is not in a such form that we should have any fear. it is average normal team. you guyz have some individuals karimi, mahdavikia, hashemian and the one who plays in spain, when those individuals are switched off, i see no chance because in modern football, team play/game is more important. moreover, karimi has no game expereince and hashemian was almost always sub. So frankly speaking and my humble advice to you do not underestimate others while overrating yourself.

PS: Hats off Nurafshon for your efforts

    Ohh Mussav,
You made me cry. My eyelashes are still wet. :)

But that was only my predictions. What happens - God knows!!!
We people in CA love Iraq too. We can't just explain it by words, which would be very cheap. For us, Bagdad is still one of the most civilized places in the world.
We all supported Iraq in Athens. You performed very well. In such kind of situation in your country, your National team brought you a little bit happiness by their performances in Athens and Doha.
So we also wish you all the best in the Asian Cup.
    Thank you very much.

thanks mussav, actually i get a picture as if uzbeks prefer one nation to another. absolutely "No" at least for me, i dont bother about nationality of person , more vital fact is persons personality. i respect you guyz for being successful despite difficult situation in your country and i wish you all the best, hope we meet in finals:cool:

when it comes to the uzbek team, i can say that i am in total confusion what the real strength of our team is but we have good talented young players who can dissapoint anybody if they are put well together. in this regard, future friendlies will be of a crucial importance in determining/imporving our place in terms of strength.

That's your opinion man. And I agree that modern football infrastructure has YET to be built in Iran because of our stupid government, who cares more for Hamas spending, than anything for Iranian people. But none the less, we have some of Asia's best players, and I'm confident. I'm not underestimating anyone. I think Uzbekistan are very good and can give us trouble, and so can China.

Your analysis of our players is off. That "one player in spain," Javad Nekouam made both La Liga's "revelation squad" (2nd all-team) and UEFA's team of the year. Teymourian also did amazing at Bolton, even Hashemian did excellent, he didn't score much but was always playing and giving out tons of assist and I can go on about the others ... but nonetheless, football is about Team, you're right.

    Good luck brother

I may say yes, except those defender Asror Aliqulov and our main striker Maksim Shatskikh.
Maksim Shatskikh now is in Austria with his team Dynamo Kiev in a training camp. Yesterdan they played a friendly match with Austrian team Tirol and scored them 1:0 with Shatskikh's goal.
