If u do not include the local league, they are poor in this season without Djeparov, Kapadze and Ismailov.
in turkish first league(level2,teams can have 2 turkic republic footballer(they are uzbekistan, azerbaijan, kyrgyzstan, turkmenistan and kazakhstan).i think young talents from these countries should come to turkey.
Oh, so I see Djeparov was a big blow for the team. Just like Jeju United without Koo-Ja Cheol this year.
what can I say - congratulations.. my wife and all my Uzbek friends on Facebook are giving me **** but the final round of games should be very interesting. Uzbekistan still have to get a result vs. Czech Republic - as do the US vs. New Zealand. Anyway, for old times sake.... I think draw is enough for us to qualify to next the round. Czech is so strong for us, I have seen their match against New Zealand, they are much organized then USA. Even if we do not qualify, a win against USA is already a big history for us)))) Asian Olympic qualification: Hong Kong 0-2 Uzbekistan We qualified to the next round.
I think a draw will be enough should either USA or NZ win their game as that will put you in 2nd. However, if USA v NZ ends in a draw then Uzbekistan will be 3rd and will have to wait to see if they go through.
in terms of footballing history and prestige, that's probably an even bigger scalp. Congrats and good luck in the 2nd round. I'll be supporting Uzbekistan all the way, assuming they don't meet the US again.
awesome game! Only two goals away from getting revenge for the semifinal in the AFC cup for the seniors. Uzbekistan will play the winner of the Uruguay v Congo in the QF.
