Uzbek boxers set a new world record winning 9 gold medals out of 10 weight categories in Asian Boxing Championships 2017.
Any news on Uzbekistans preparation? Are there any injuries or suspended players? Any friendly matches?
I couldn't find any info about the uzbek squad that will play in june for the 2018 world cup qualifiers, and anyway, I have the feeling that Iran will be the first asian team to secure its spot for Russia, beating uzbekistan once again (the painful "khalatbari last minute goal case" coming to mind right away) and after all, that poor uzbek side doesn't deserve anything... I just hope Vagiz Galiulin will soon be called up as his russian club Tosno just got promoted to Russian Premier league (while Vadim Afonin's Orenburg FC going down after losing the relegation playoff on PKS).... Is waldemar Anton still unwilling to play for Uzbekistan ? I'm amazed how scarce uzbek players ARE in russian, belarus and ukrainian league... Aren't there any uzbek born russian players around ? And Playing for big clubs like Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donietsk, Spartak/CSKA Moscow, Zenith St Petersburg, Metalist Kharkov, Dnipropetrovsk, or even Bate Borisov like Maksim Shatskikh used to should be a dream for any uzbek player no ? Plus easier to get there as no language barrier almost... I know that making money in china or in arab leagues is also very appealing but... Ah uzbekistan is makin me desperate by being such a loser's team...
Thanks my friend, but it's impossible while Babayan coaching the team. Now our football is in absolute mess, the president of football federation is old fart receving treatment in Germany. So there is nobody to control affairs, even his presence wouldn't change a lot though. That's why Babayan working without any fear to fail and fielding all his favourite players. We badly need people who really devoted to football as a head of our football system, not a bunch of businessmen.
Sucks to hear that. The Afghan Football Federation is an even more corrupt trashhole so I can see how you feel. But keep faith! If you beat China and Korea cant beat Iran (who have had an amazing campaign) all you need to do is hold Korea to a draw at home. Should be doable.
If we aren't able to beat Korea at home I think we have nothing to do in WC final stage, we just don't deserve with our recent performance
