Yes, of course, but I think only in Uzbekistan We have a Sport TV channel, and it shows all the matches of the Oliy(premier) league. But the this season is finished by now, next season will start in March 2011 with again 14 teams as this year.
talking about Uzbekistan... I just bought my tickets for Qatar v Uzbekistan AFC cup opener.. world cup 2022 tickets aren't on sale yet though. Anyhoo... anyone here coming to Qatar for the AFC cup?
actually the tickets are quite cheap... about $8/head... $1.50 for kids.... behind the goal is only 5.... I thin the VIP section is quite a bit more but all in all the Asian cup is very reasonably...
04.12 JS Kairouanaise 0-1 Uzbekistan 07.12 CS Hammam-Lif 1-1 Uzbekistan http://www.hamhama.com/ No news about Libya friendly on Saturday ?
Atlético Mineiro just finished their season in Brazil on 5th December, and there is no news on their site about going to Tunisia. I wonder if this was the 'real' Atlético team?
Bunyodkor drawn in Group B of the CIS Cup Group B Tobol Kostanay (Kazakhstan) Skonto (Latvia) Mika (Armenia) Bunyodkor (Uzbekistan)
I've since discovered that there is also an America Minerio that have just been promoted to the top flight of the Brazilian championship, could possibly have been them?
I think they would have mention this in the official website. http://www.americamineiro.com.br/noticias.asp?pagina=2
The team that played Uzbekistan was Poços de Caldas, a team from the 2nd Division of the Minas Gerais state league in Brazil (5th or 6th level). They were formed only in June 2007. Poços de Caldas also played against Espérance (lost 2-3) and Hammam-Sousse (drew 0-0) The only relation they have to Atlético Mineiro is that they play in the same state. It's the equivalent to playing Stockport County and then saying you played Manchester United. So, either the Brazilian team lied about their identity, or the Uzbek Federation tried to make the team sound better than they really were. Whichever one is true, it's completely ridiculous that they try to mislead the public in this way. http://blogdovulcao.blogspot.com/
Server Djeparov from FC Seoul became the best player of Uzbekistan in 2010. Odil Ahmedov of Pakhtakor and Bahodir Nasimov of Neftchi, Azerbaijan got 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Congrats guys on your win today... went to the stadium and ironically wound up sitting with the Uzbek supporters - they were absolutely great! Managed to get the first goal (it's @ about 0.22) on vid..... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlzgScLQQG8"]YouTube - Asian Cup 2011: Uzbekistan 2-0 Qatar - 1st goal[/ame]
Great start Uzbekistan. You're in my opinion the most under-achieved country in Asia. I think Uzbekistan is on par with the top 5 in Asia and should have gotten at least one Asian Cup trophy or World Cup Qualification by now. Hope to see an Iran-Uzbekistan final (if that's even possible )
