I think it says a lot about how meh the Royals were today when the best thing they did was Moros poking fun at Rapinoe's tendency to go down easy.
With all this smoke, the entire Salt Lake metropolitan area is feeling a bit meh today. I guess the Royals just matched our collective mood.
Pissed away any chance at hosting a playoff game with this result, me thinks. I don't care how hard their schedule is vs ours, we're not making up a 7 point difference (they own the tiebreaker) in just three games

Better for both Thorsnes and the Royals if she leaves. She's not going to get playing time if she stays, and she's using an international spot that could go to someone who will contribute more on the field. That spot would be better used on a midfielder that isn't short and slow.
I really want to make a "this can't happen quick enough" joke here but I'm struggling to be creative quickly
My favorite part about the article was the "rising performance of Katie Stengel". Stengel may be improving, but she has zero speed. Bring her in off the bench as a late sub, but we need to find someone with some speed up top.
Uh, WTF is going on here? We're dropping coverage of the team in the tail end of the season? Like... what? What the hell is going on at RSL lately?
And the apparent excuse is that the coverage team is gone (I understand Carla going to Law School, but Wrubell seems to have been willing to stay on - "Rest assured that I was prepared to carry out my commitment to the club.") I don't understand this move at all.
That's disappointing. It feels like a big step back for a club which had done so much right off the field. I hope this is only temporary and the broadcasts return next year with a new crew. Moving on to the SkyBlue game, I hope Harvey gives Gunny the night off. She seems to be running out of steam and quite honestly could use a rest, and this is the perfect game to rest her.
Based on how hard it is to watch today's game, maybe it's ok that they're not broadcasting. This is just horrible soccer.
Everyone looks like they have no idea what to do if they don't have the ball and when they do they just want to get rid of it. The back line shouldn't be the main possessors of the ball.
The personnel doesn't have the ability to get the ball up the field quickly when it does get won. Compare a typical Utah attack to one from North Carolina. Utah tries to beat their opponent with patient play and a 1000 passes because they're not fast. The Courage get it and can go from their end to the opponent's end in no time because they're fast enough to do so.
Speed and youth are in very short supply with this squad. Both are needed soon. Like starting next year soon.
When is harvey going to get the picture that you can't play Press and ARod together? Yeah, I know they technically combined for that gift of a goal when Sky Blue was basically twiddling their thumbs in excitement waiting for the whistle to blow, but they are not compatible players. They both want to occupy the same space, they are both best centrally, and they are both fairly selfish, shoot first players that want the offense to operate through them. I would bench Arod and just always play Press at the 9 maybe put Stengel behind her. Or put press in the middle behind Stengel as the 9. Or go to a 2 front with Press and someone else. Press is a serviceable, but not particularly good wide player. Also this' team's biggest problem now and going forward is that they are significantlyolder than the league average. Like multiple players on the team have already retired before, old. Harvey then gave away all of her picks for a 30 year old player that may or may not stick around (it's no secret she wants to play in Portland or LA) so hopefully she can at least use trades wisely to get some wingers and midfielders with pace.
