I see Mewis is on the bench in Rapinoe's spot. How much does Ellis hate HAO that she replaces Pinoe with someone who plays a different position?

It's on ESPN. If you get that, you can authenticate to get the stream thereof.

Good: Two boxes of noodles, free!
Scary: The coupon inside the pack of udon noodles expired in ... Dec 2010

    Scarier: It tastes OK!

... wow, Costa Rica's anthem is kinda long.

USA anthem by 12-yr-old Tegan Marie. Embellishments  -- but they fade away as she goes for power :notworthy:

I'm hoping the WNT wins, but that my girl "Rocky Rodriguez" scores a goal for Costa Rica. Woohoo!

01' 0-0 Villalobos backpass to Díaz. Johnston backpass to Solo.

02' 0-0 Midfield ping, Barrantes(?) chips high from 27m mid-left to 15m, O'Hara(?) heads away. CRC ping across the back, come up the right. Villalobos pass toward Herrera at circle top right touch, Herrera chases her touch back toward own endline. Pugh overtakes, steals, drives to 10m wide left. Soft pass to 7m mid-left, Villalobos(?) slide-tackles off Press.

04' 0-0 USA backline holds patiently, R.Rodríguez as lone chaser still fresh.

05' 0-0 Sauerbrunn pass to Horan in circle center, she works past a slide-tackle and passes square right. Lost, R.Rodríguez fouled at circle top wide left.

    I wish Lloyd didn't one-time that pass.

06' 0-0 CRC fk at circle top wide left, to 22m center, Pugh(!) heads down. CRC chips from ~arc top mid-left, bounces wide left and Solo trots across to catch.

07' 0-0 #16 K.Alvarado(?) quack at own box top center, USA quack it back. Dunn drives down mid-right to 5m, shoots rising, off right 90, bounces across mouth to box top mid-left.

08' 0-0 Dunn spins ccw to arc top box right, pass intercepted. CRC pass up left touch, O'Hara intercepts. USA backline ping across circle back. Johnston to O'Hara at 27m right touch, perfectly-weighted diagonal pass sends Morgan through box top mid-right to 12m. Morgan hops over Díaz, ball rolls over endline.

10' 0-0 Lloyd intercepts at 22m mid-right, drives to 17m arc right, lifts right instep to shoot. Alvarado slides through her left foot from behind. Ball trickles to 8m center, Dunn(?) cuts inside and shoots one-touch, Díaz charges out and blocks it right. Foul, yellow card on Alvarado.

11' 0-0 USA fk at 17m arc right, blocked. USA left ck, behind box top or cleared that far.

13' 0-0 Johnston, O'Hara, Sauerbrunn, Klingenberg, Sauerbrunn ... Johnston. Chip up right touch to Dunn at 30m right touch, decent stop, drifts upfield and draws 3. Good pass up right touch for O'Hara overlapping to 10m, soft ground cross to 9m mid-right intercepted, CRC clears. Ellis must have told Johnston to stop hoofing longballs

15' 0-0 More lateral tika-taka from the back 4. O'Hara pass up right touch to Dunn coming back, one-touch square pass misses behind Lloyd not expecting.

15' 1-0 CRC rare foray to 24m mid-right. Pugh(!!) steals, counters across midfield. CRC miss a clearance up wide right, Horan jukes 3 at circle top mid-right. Good forward pass to ~25m arc left (Morgan?), perfect diagonal pass hits Klingenberg overlapping through box top left. Klingenberg wide-open in box, creeps patiently to 5m 6-left, sees Dunn crashing right post. Simple ground pass to 4m 1/5 right, Dunn dunks.

17' 1-0 Morgan turns down wide left, drives to 4m box left. Cross cleared over.
    18' 1-0 USA left throw-in(?), Lloyd(?) drives to 7m 6-left, shot blocked by a just-in-time slide.

Horan did good to get that ball to Morgan. Kling with the assist to Dunn. It felt like it took forever for her to send the ball. Dunn floated into the box unmarked.

To start the possession I was worried Lloyd was too concerned about one-touch with her pass.

Amazing run and goal from Pugh. Lloyd didn't look happy, but she was offside.:p

20' 1-0 USA ping across the back -- Long drops back to get a touch. CRC mishit a pass up right touch, out.

22' 2-0 Dunn backpass, O'Hara to Long. Pass to Morgan coming back to 40m wide left, one-touch flick or backheel springs Pugh beyond the clump of 3. Pugh drives alone through box top mid-left, turns down to 3m 7-left. Left instep chip rises over #4 Benavides, beats Díaz's right hand near post, into back right edge 1/2 high.

24' 2-0 Foul, yellow card on Long.

25' 2-0 CRC fk at 35m arc left, bounces through everybody to 15m center, headed away. CRC settle at circle top, switch to left touch. Backpass, reset at midfield -- Lloyd leg-blocks and chases to 30m mid-left, Saenz(?) backpass. CRC longball up centerline, too far.

26' 2-0 Dunn(?) darts to 16m mid-right, goes down -- tripped or ball? No call, CRC hoof aimlessly from circle back right touch to Johnston. USA backline do the Metronome (it's like the Bartman, but it goes side to side, and from side to side)

Do yellow cards carry over into the Olympic group play matches? Thinking of Long.

28' 2-0 Lloyd settles at 27m box right, good knockdown inside-out pass toward arc top right for Morgan breaking up centerline. Villalobos bumps Morgan down before ball arrives. Foul, yellow card on Villalobos.

29' 2-0 USA fk at 24m arc right, to 6-top left post. Horan shanks a bicycle straight up(?), somebody (Klingenberg?) collects goalward and trips/is blocked (no call). CRC slide-poked over?

30' 2-0 USA left ck, header driven high.

31' 2-0 CRC high lob switch right bounces past everybody at arc top box right. RB #5 Saenz runs that far in this heat, collects in the corner. Klingenberg recovers, CRC stuck 1-v-2. Backpass disrupted? Horan fouled past midfield?

    32' 2-0 1H water break.
