One must be a little careful about asserting something is slander or bordering on slander. For one thing, it's not slander if it's true. That's something none of us knows about. For another thing, it depends on exactly what she said. I believe she was asked if she thought Lynch might be homophobic. Her answer, if I understood it correctly, was "Yes." That is, "Yes, I believe he might be homophobic." I don't think she said, "He is homophobic." From a legal perspective, there is a big difference.
