I'll still go to games because I like watching live soccer, but I'll be rooting against them now. Let's go for historically bad.
"Highlights" are up. 2nd goal is weird, MacMath watched it but I'm not sure it would have made a difference. Still...a little effort... https://www.coloradorapids.com/post...o-rapids-highlights-june-6-2018?autoplay=true
Based on how past RFO's operated, he will be threatened with a punch in the face and banned from the grounds for that tweet.
Legal term in use for that now is a 'Cohen Call' -- please make a note of it. I also see where another league loss and this fiasco turned Hudson's "small patch" into a "difficult run", two more losses and we may be in lumpy pudding territory?
I am pretty sure we can copy and paste that statement from Hudson after most games this season. What bothers me is that he doesn't take responsibility. He really only talks about the players, not about failure by managerial staff. It is his job to instill confidence in the players, among other tactical things. Like he said "these situations define you".
Sure, but we're going to pay both of this season and yet many fans have been claiming that Howard's lost it and MacMath is clearly the better keeper. So far in the playing time MacMath's had this season I've seen nothing to back up that claim.
McMath has the potential to go back up. He was doing fine before Howard showed up, but too much of his career has been spent getting sidelined. Can he recover from this latest round of benchwarming, I don't know, but Howard is only going to decline. I'd rather play McMath the rest of the season and see if he can get back to form so we can plan for the post Howard years.
Well, at least Seattle had the decency to lose to Sac FC later on. The schadenfreude of that loss really doesn't make up for this furchtbar Rapids team, Hudson's backpfeifengesicht notwithstanding. Ok...I admit I shoehorned backpfeifengesicht in there. It's not often I get to use one of my favorite words, so I made it happen.
IMHO we have crossed that line and are now a laughingstock. If we haven't already reached it, we will soon reach the point where we can't get the manager, coaching staff, and (most importantly) the players to improve. Nobody will want to come here because everything is so broken.
"I think probably one or two players are in need of a rest, need a little bit of a break. Some players have been thrown in the deep end and have been in a situation probably that they’ve not been in before and have had to carry the load of the pressure of what this run’s come of. One or two probably need a bit of a break . . . I think the biggest thing is getting players back. I think that’s been our biggest challenge. I hope in the next couple of days we can get one or two of our players back and get them recovered . . ." For a front office and technical staff supposedly committed to "no excuses" those sure sound a lot like excuses. The players are tired Players are having to pick up slack Injuries Need to get people healthy and back Dear Anthony, Suck it up, buttercup. Every team in the league has tired players, players covering for injured or called up players, injuries, and short rosters. And right now every team in the league has found a way to overcome this better than your Rapids. FtC
Holy crap! I totally forgot about this game last night. Looks like the rapids also forgot. Barf!!! @$&$&$&&$&
Quite arguably the worst competitive match this club has ever played. That's saying something too...because there have been some pretty awful games if you dig through the archives.
Hmm. That one was kind of a spectacular failure like the Hindenberg disaster. This one...no SoG's vs a minor league team. This one was like a guy slowly drinking himself to death in an alley.
I don't think we are one of the top 32 clubs in this country in current form, unbelievable given our spending rank of 8th (taking out Vancouver and Toronto).
Not true. There are 22 matches left to get 45-50 points (which is what is necessary to make the playoffs). That is currently 1.68--1.91 pts/match. Hard, but not impossible.
Mathematically correct, but moot. With this team, this attitude, this scheme and this coach, we won't get there.
46 is the average point total for the 6th placed team. to get there we need to average 1.72 pts/game. In 2016, our best season ever, we averaged 1.71 pts/game. If you want to argue we're not mathematically eliminated I'll obviously agree. In every other way though we are.
