You forgot to include "lose to a USL team in its first season". Don't know that we can sink lower... And so much for McMath saving us...
MLS soccer has the Rapids with 3 shots, no SoG. Ugh. When do the planes start flying banners over the stadium?
Any chance we can put Hudson on IR and let a player coach for a few? Case of the Dumbs, head up ass, etc
Ah sounds like that Nashville description happened, but it wasn't mentioned that then Macmath did his thing as it rolled over.
For me, the real question is, can we ********ing bring back Gary Smith already? We've failed horribly on three coaches in a row now since he left (4 if you include Cooke)...
Burn it to the ground. This is the absolute low point for this franchise. There is nothing on the technical side worth saving at this point. Even if there are some bright points we’d be better off starting from scratch.
Wonder if we can apply for a MLS expansion franchise someday. Maybe build a stadium downtown or something in time for MLS 5.0.
Sure, but losing 30 games in a season, or posting a record worse than Chivas's last two seasons in MLS, is still on the horizon. That would have some real meaning, and the nadir would be yet to come.
The Rapids are now 13-18 all-time in USOC competition. The illustrious history includes: 0-3 semifinal loss to the Rochester Raging Rhinos in 1996 1-2 loss to the Chicago Stingers in 1997 0-2 loss in the finals to the Rochester Raging Rhinos in 1999 0-3 loss to the Richmond Kickers in 2000 0-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2001 1-4 loss to the Minnesota Thunder in 2005 0-5 loss to the then-USL Seattle Sounders in 2007 1-3 loss to then USL-Pro Orlando City in 2013 1-2 loss to the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2014 0-2 loss to Nashville SC today.
So, the #Rapids96 current run of form:L L L L L L L LAnd tonight they were eliminated from the US Open Cup by a USL side. The entire organization should be embarrassed. Ownership, front office, coaching staff and especially the players.— Daniel Boniface (@danielboniface) June 7, 2018
Nashville SC revel in statement win over Colorado Rapids in US Open Cup https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...tatement-win-over-colorado-rapids-us-open-cup Telling comment/stats: "Pickens didn't have a particularly taxing night, as the Rapids – who'd lost seven straight MLS games – didn't muster a single shot on target. Colorado controlled the ball for 55 percent of the contest, but the Rapids were outshot, 7-3." “The guys put in a workmanlike performance tonight,” Pickens said. “Probably the easiest game of the year for me. I was just trying to keep guys tuned in and ready for anything.”
