Is the request for my opinion in regard to the images of ladies? Side note: When did BS start having a FB-like news feed?
Goddamnit. The cleveland game on july 15th for the US will be against Haiti or Nicaragua, those two have to have a home and away series first as a sort of play-in game. Panama is also in our group, I would have loved to see them. I think Haiti would be the better of the two, more will to play an open game, less likely to just bunker and kick players. The other game is Panama v Martinique obviously. I might go to the Panama game as well, they have a decent team. Hope Martinez gets called up Group A - Honduras, Costa Rica, French Guiana, Canada. Group B - United States, Panama, Martinique, Haiti/Nicaragua. Group C - Mexico, El Salvador, Curacao, Jamaica.
Women's team getting beat 3-0 right now versus France. If the result holds, the US will finish last in the tournament.
http://www.espnfc.us/united-states/...e-united-states-squad-for-upcoming-qualifiers Arena names roster for Honduras and Panama. Wish we could drop Gonzalez, Bedoya, Bradley and Altidore.
Good to see Wood on the roster. He's been playing well for Hamburg (unfortunately for my Gladbach team last week).
Matt Besler and Sacha Kljestan called into the roster by Il Bruce. Bobby Wood out with a back injury. (Sorry, not sure how to post a link while on my phone).
Note that Hamburg is in a relegation fight, which may have influenced that scenario a bit (and yes I realize this is a FIFA date). He did play almost a full game on Saturday.
Yeah, that one pissed me off. I'm not going to pretend that Wondo is completely worthless- he is a good striker- but I wish he would've called in someone with more to offer. Juan Agudelo would've been a better option. CJ Sapong would've been a better option (big, good pace, good hold-up play). I've seen some people complain as if there are hundreds of better options available, which isn't really the case. Boyd, Johannsson, Wooten, and Rubin have all struggled for minutes of late for one reason or another (Wooten has played the most, but hasn't been productive in 2. Bundesliga). Scariest part? I'm pretty sure Jozy is suspended for the 2nd game if he is booked against Honduras, and I'm not sure if Bruce would play Clint up top alone.
This was his MO his last stint as well. He took guys from MLS who were getting playing time and were in-form and in shape and played them over guys who were "better" but sitting the bench in Europe, and it worked for him. So it shouldn't be shocking to see him do it again. And that was back when the quality of MLS was significantly worse than it is now. Though Wondo is no McBride, and I don't think there's another Beasley out there, let alone another Don Ovan.
Though, initially, he brought in off-season European-based players over in-season MLSers for those miserable away qualifiers at Guatemala and Costa Rica (July 2000). We wilted and gave up late goals in both matches. Bruce learned form that mistake.
US - Howard; Cameron, Gonzalez, Brooks, Villafana; Pulisic, Bradley, Lletget, Nagbe; Dempsey, Altidore. Honduras playing with a 5-4-1, or maybe a 3-4-3, who knows. Houston's Elis and Quoto up top with Anderlect's Andy Najar.
Jurgen Klinsmann sent out a "good luck" tweet. GOOD LUCK tonight vs Honduras and get the 3 points !!! GO USA !!! @AmericanOutlaws— J_Klinsmann (@J_Klinsmann) March 24, 2017
