According to the Miami Herald the USMNT will play Guatemala at the stadium the Dolphins & Marlins play in on October 8th. Ticket info to be out soon. This will be their 1st visit here in 6 or 7 years.

    OOPS!!!! I stand corrected. Thanks.

I usually call the place the stadium of many names, but Joe Robbie Stadium is the name I think should be.

    So excited!! Should be awesome.

If you want to sit with the supporters, wait for the American Outlaws ticket info to come out. AO:South Florida will be organizing a tailgate party as well.

I imagine since we bested LA's last USMNT crowd by 6,000, and since there is no more baseball in the summer, we should see more US games here. In the February international dates would be perfect weather-wise.

It looked horrible on TV, Lucho. Many times the camera lens was soaked with rain and it was very hard to see what was going on. Kudos to all the brave souls that attended. Especially those from out of town.

Glad I didn't buy a ticket. I've been fighting a cold since Wednesday & I could not go and watch in weather like that. I'd wind up with pneumonia & miss the Strikers game on Saturday....:D

Hope to see you then, Lucho. Give it a try. You might like it...

Good time out... even with the weather! Took advantage of the Groupon deal and the seats weren't half bad! And it came with an American flag which helped keep the rain off!

I have to admit, I also liked seeing the Strikers logo on the jumbo screen like that, advertising the game on the 15th. Good work!

In spite of the conditions last night and the jewish holiday, i was pleasantly surprised at the turn out with fans. I hope they continue to schedule more soccer matches at Sun Life since baseball is finally out of the picture.

Antique I am very surprised at what the strikers have accomplished. I didn't even know they made it to the playoffs until Saturday night watching them against p.r. I have to say a 2 goal lead on two leg playoff match away is very good. I see they have alot of talent now. I might be out there Saturday for the game, lol the strikers girls and chance to make it to the final, don't want to miss it....

I wish I had seen the deal before I bought tickets, but at least I avoided all the damn ticketmaster fees by buying my tickets at the last Marlins game.

$20 parking is the ridiculous part....

That was ridiculous. I was expecting ten dollars like the last marlins game I went to. Oh well... Brother paid the parking and after a couple of beers on his tab, we were all squared away (I bought a pair of tickets for him and his gf).

No stupid fees through the Groupon which was excellent. Usually those fees put me off.
