The Orlando team is still without a name, but now that the Dayton Lions have joined USL Pro it would be pretty confusing to take the same name
Didn't Clark, owner of the Rhinos, just say 3-4 months ago that the idea of having regional leagues and being in D3 was crazy and he wasn't interested?
Minor League Hockey, there are two teams with the last name Admirals. Milwaukee, WI & Norfolk, Va. The original IHL side the Milwaukee Admirals, and of course Norfolk where the Navy ships are the AHL side was called the Admirals, before those IHL teams merged with the AHL.
Does every team need to make a media release as to what league they are joining knowing full well that we already know what league they are going to play in? I wonder if this is a USL PRO requirement for public record or a show of loyalty.
its all due course. I guess technically they might not join (there has been some doubt about Maryland). i imagine a majority lined up but will release the teams a bit at a time. Only natural to try and get more press (A for the team and B for the league) I dont really think its anything more than that. Andrew Bell said the AGM will be in November and they how to have the teams and regions wrapped up by then.
Well it is the offseaon for all of what was the USL 2 teams. So I'm guessing that we will keep seeing a press release here and there until November. And then see a couple big ones just before the meeting and then right after.
