So tell me where, in Phoenix, oh, person who comes here for spring training, near the baseball and basketball arenas, one would play soccer? You know, JuCo Boy, when people become adults, they don't give a shit about this college rivalry nonsense. Enough already.
You're the one that has a utensil as there avatar. Its sounds like a two year deal with Mesa to play in HoHoKam Stadium.
Pity...but are the Cubs out of there next spring training? Is "wrigleyville West" going to be ready for business?
2014 on that, supposedly. They just broke ground this summer. The scuttlebutt is that the A's would move into HoHoKam, leaving Muni open, either for Phoenix to poach another team, ASU's baseball team (which was supposed to share the new place with the Cubs, but at last report was ticked at the Cubs for [Vader]altering the deal[/Vader], and could follow U of A's example and move into Muni) and/or a soccer team.
Phoenix Municipal Stadium was the other stadium mentioned in negotiations. The person I got the info from kept saying it was a Stadium in Central Phoenix, and was called Municipal, but the Cubs were leaving it next season. So its a mixture. Sounds like Mesa, but could be Municipal.
Well, there's a stadium in Phoenix (Central or not) called Municipal, but the Cubs aren't leaving it and the Cubs aren't leaving anything until after next season IF there aren't any delays. So it sounds like your source can't really even get the basics straight.
