Another article about SA. Ideally you would want both groups to work together to put a strong franchise. But considering their goals are very different I think it's unlikely that will happen. http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/article/S-A-soccer-leaders-watch-pro-bids-with-angst-1045314.php
Considering the fact that the NASL and the USL aren't getting along, pretty big stretch to assume these two competing ownership groups can or should do so. The leagues themselves should be working hand in hand to establish D2 and D3 markets under one master plan, rather than screwing around and risking losing some markets all together. Fighting over San Antonio could leave a bad taste for some and at the very least is holding back the potential in the short term. Get it together, ffs.

Richmond's had a couple of good signings also, but they haven't announced them officially yet. One of them looks like a great midfield pickup (on paper) with experience in Brazil, France and Portugal
Respuesta: Re: USL Pro News 2011 preseason In case people are wondering about the Antigua Barracudas, they ARE making news but for some reason not even the USL site is mentioning them. For starters they do have a preliminary, mostly local, roster: http://www.antiguaobserver.com/?p=55541 And are getting their stadium ready: http://www.antiguaobserver.com/?p=55492
Re: Respuesta: Re: USL Pro News 2011 preseason Theres a shit ton of news that nobody is reporting on the teams in PR, most of it is bad news, first one United and River are both going to play in the same stadium near San Juan like 30 min from Islanders stadium, they aren't going to draw shit. There a mess with the River ownership, theres a mess with the Sevilla ownership, but atleast River is signing players we haven't heard anything from Sevilla and a bunch of their old players switched to United.
Not sure if what Intru is refering to Rivers change in president a couple weeks ago. here is recent news from River River plan for Big Season looks like they are going to be a contender on the field this year if they can handle the ammount of matches. some more Battery news Short-Handed Battery holds off Fire
