More info for those traveling including special hotel rates for those not wishing to make the drive back that night.. http://www.wilmingtonhammerheads.com/news1.php?id=59&p&search#ontitle
I called the Hampton Inn on Daniel Island to check on price and availability and was told there has been a lot of interest. Wouldn't be surprised to see a sell-out.
HELP! I can't make it to Chucktown this weekend. Is there ANY chance this match will be broadcast anywhere? Online? Satellite TV? Radio?
It should be here... http://uslnation.com/# ...and don't feel bad about not being able to make it. I HAVE to work this Saturday (I was told that my own death would not be a valid excuse for tardiness, much less absence) and if I make the drive after work I wouldn't be there until 8:30 pm at the earliest. Still thinking about it, though.
it will be on USLnation. Also you can listen on the via the link on the Battery website. it will take you to a local radio station live streaming. and making it down by 8:30 would mean you would be able to watch the second half and you would not have to pay for parking and they don't man the gates after half time so you could get in for free!
I still want to do it--I was there for the Championship games in 2002 and 2003 and want to be there for this one. The good thing is although the trip down would be around three hours (from Brunswick Cty.) the return to Myrtle Beach would only be around two. Hate missing the tailgate, though.
Is there any news of injuries on the Hammerheads team? 2 Battery player were subbed off because of injuries in the semifinal.
Not sure about GK Alex Horwath - he went off early in the Richmond game with a hamstring problem. D- Dylan Riley will be out due to the Red Card in the Orlando game.
I probably won't finish up until 7:00pm or so, so I may watch it on uslnation.com from the closest computer I can find (probably in Shallotte--there's no way I can make MB in 30 minutes..)
