I thought it might be because my title is not "moderator" yet, but yours is, so that might be a problem.
This place is useless to me without a proper MyBigSoccer style board subscription page. Sorry to say it, Huss, but it was a huge mistake not prepping all this before the change. This is basic functionality, not an afterthought.
The titles of new threads seem to automatically default to lower-case lettering, except for the very first letter.
I saw that, but it's not doing what I'm asking for. I'd still like to be alerted when a thread is updated, but I only need to know about the latest update, not the 732 posts before it. If I uncheck that mark, I don't get notified at all for anything, so it appears I'd have to manually search out the thread in a "watched threads" list that shows every single thread I've ever replied to, even if I've already read everything in the thread. Instead of being intelligent about it like the old My Bigsoccer was, now we get everything-or-nothing in a ton of places.
Not a fan of the changes. Oh by the way where is the arrow box to switch forum topics. This is way to confusing. Ok found the arrow box but dam is that small. Need to make it bigger man.
I am sorted out now.....not sure what is going on. I did notify DK via PM though, so that might have sped up my process.
Some appear to be active, while others not. For instance, I cannot change a thread title. And I also do not have access to the Mod forum. Started A Conversation with DK. Yeah, it probably has something to do with your title. Huss, it is too early to start a "bug report" thread?
No mod nuttin' here, either. But no, seriously, tell me there will be a way to change the "theme" or color scheme or whatever you want to call it. As long as that and the bugs and a real subscription feature are added, I think this is a pretty good upgrade.
Absolutely terrible. Not only does BS update yet again when not needed but Huss switches to a crappy, inferior, and annoying wannabe VB. Amazing.
You can access the same info using the 'Watched Threads' and 'Watched Forums' pages. The layout isn't anywhere near as good yet, but that will be fixed from the sounds of things.
I was just about to come and ask about this. When should we start getting nervous if we don't see a specific thread showing up? I am just concerned about the MLS TV Ratings thread in MLS News and Analysis which has a ton of data in it.
This is not a version of VB, its inferior forum software so it won't even have the semi-capability of the last VB update to be like the previous in terms of functionality and style. Good luck and don't hold your breath
It's right beside it. Look at the top of your page right now. Under the 'Forums' tab you should have (L to R) 'Mark Forums Read' - 'Search Forums' - 'Watched Threads' - 'What's New?' - 'Watched Forums'
This is simply untrue. The watched forum link (which I think just appeared) shows all the forums. And it does not work like the old one anyway: it's not a custom list of forum. Instead it looks like a list of alerts for watched forums. I just want a simple list of the few forums I read. Not a bunch of overly fancy, but useless crap.
a) Trust me, as someone who's used the back end of both, XenForo shits all over vBulletin. 2) The functionality is very, very similar. People are freaking out about cosmetic changes but the actual way things is structured is not that different at all. People had a similar freakout when BS went from vB 2.x to 3.x. Everyone will get used to it. iii) Relax.
Is there a way I can have threads show in a forum that are either stickies or within the past few days, like it used to be. I hate seeing threads from months ago with no activity.
