Think of it like a triangle in CM. When we are in defense it’s essentially a CM trio.

That would make zero difference. We still wouldn't have the ball. We need to win the ball in midfield.

2 fouls now from Weah. He's recognizing how easy they have it in possession and he's putting a foot in. Now if our central midfielders could wake up and follow his example..

If we had more than 30% possession we may go for the 4-3-3.

The only way Peru is going to score is if they keep passing the ball into our net, though.

Marky Delgado loses the ball, makes a half-*** effort to get it back, then gives up as his opponent runs right by him. Bradley but 8 years younger. No thanks, I've seen enough.

Amon right there made the wrong decision. Needed to circle it back and keep possession.

That's MLS midfield. No tenacity, no bite, no aggressiveness.....midfielders in MLS got all day to pass the ball....you don't have that luxury at international games.

This is exactly what happens when you play so many young players. They make a lot of very small mistakes, and it all adds up. Not that we should be trotting Bradley and Altidore out there instead, but what do you expect?

The CBs nearly gave away a pathetic goal there, running into each other like the Keystone Cops.

I am very impressed with how well Acosta, Trapp and Marky can thwart any attack...I'm talking about our own, but it's some special square, back and return to square and back passes that have me really proud.

That's a big reason why the Red Bulls press is so effective. Most of MLS just isn't used to it.
