    Revenge is sweet.

I would not want to be Panama on Wednesday. Especially since Blas Perez is out due to the Red.

    4-1 USA.

What exactly is Altidore's situation now? he went off injured and I assume won't be able to play here. What about Donovan, why was he on the bench and will he be fit to play?

Altidore is out with a hammy. Tough break. Agudelo will get the start in his place.

Donovan didnt arrive in DC until 7 AM on game day. He should be rested and ready to go in Houston on Wed.

Kinda sucks Blas won't play.. but that's his fault... Now let's see who JCDV replaces him with, I bet the youung buck Renteria .. or he may just flip it, and go 4-5-1, with Tejada up top, and Cooper-Barahona-Quintero
    Gavilan - Henriquez

Unfortunately i won't be able to make it to this game...but I got my ticket for the finals already..

They won't accept you? WTF are you talking about?

Mexico should beat Honduras no problem but the US is keeping the Gold Cup!

We don't have the gold cup. You're forgetting the 09 tournament.

Our A squad was whooping up on Spain while Mexico bragged about beating our C Team. The last legitimate Gold Cup was in 2007.

The last Gold Cup was 2009, and Mexico won fair and square.

It's stupid that this tournament happens every two years, but the fact of the matter is that it does, and Bob fielded arguably the weakest/deepest USMNT squad in history. His squad decisions were questionable at best, but it doesn't matter in the end.

They won fair and square....against our C Team. What was Bradley supposed to do, ask those guys to play in another tournament fresh off the plane from their 3-2 loss to Brazil?

I agree it's stupid they play the Gold Cup every two years. Why not just do it every even year between World Cups like in Europe?

For one, the ticket sales and ad revenue provide funds that can be siphoned into the wallets of corrupt CFU executives. It also gives us a better idea of how some CONCACAF national teams are developing. From the recent Gold Cups, we can infer that Jamaica is on the way up and Costa Rica is on the way down.

It also gives the USA a chance to look at their B-team talent every few years. The 2009 Gold Cup was meaningless on the surface, but it did solidify Stuart Holden's place in future US squads.

But Holden and Goodson were the only players that realistically had a shot at the World Cup. None of the other players were even close.

It really was quite a random selection of MLS players. There were quite a few MUCH better American players in MLS at the time that didn't get the call for the 2009 Gold Cup.
