Is this the largest pro-U.S. crowd ever? 63k and it looked to be almost entirely pro-U.S. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before... ever! Compare it with Gold Cups and WCQ's in the 90s and it's like night and day.

Definitely. Jamaica always seems to be a very hard and respectable team.

Apparently Michael Bradley was awarded the golden ball.

I have to strongly disagree with you. While Morris may noy be flashy or very nifty with the ball, he has a good touch and a great shot. But most importantly, he has a very good soccer IQ which allows him to make good decisions and be very effective on the pitch.

2013 final in Chicago had a similar vibe but only had 57,000.

You don't even have to look back to the 90s. I was at the 2009 final at Giants Stadium, and it felt like I was in the Azteca. Maybe 5,000 US fans that day.

I want to see a good replay, live it seemed like a deflection but there was one angle where it almost looked like he settled and left it for Morris to run onto.

If there's anyone who has so far deserved a US Soccer statue, it's gotta be Timmy. An icon in our National Team's history.

Pulisic will be the next ;)

Donovan being left off the World Cup squad was a stupid mistake easily chalked up to hubris.

Ignoring Robbie Rogers as both a person and a player after he came out, given their personal history, is what seals Klinsmann's reputation as a complete and utter asshole.

Never met many Germans have you? The Donovan thing was many fold but chalk it up to one part Donovan subverting coaches authority and one part revenge. Honestly, no one cares about Robbie and that's as it should be. Soccer is about money not what dudes do in the dark.

golden boot to the Canadian altho tied with Morris for goals and the Canadian already got the new kid on the block award.

Acosta was a horror show and we got nothing out of Nagbe's position tonite.

Play zardes/delgado and dax for Acosta and Nagbe and we kill those guys 4-1.

Good nite and looking forward to U17's in India in September. The senior team is a bore until we change out the midfield.

That's what it looked like to me, a settle and subtle back pass with one touch.

But yea, it happened fast, a good replay will help.
