I think its frustrating for every US fan we see glimpses of going the right direction and honest try but we also see a lot of things that need to be worked on like walking over teams....such as now...
TAKE DEMPSEY OFF!!!!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous, now he is trying NOT to score, freaking ridiculous Altidore is more impressive, that says ALOT
WTF DEMPSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sorry but Dempsey always does this....He plays like he's the SH#T and he's not. Stop trying to show off and play the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we lose its 100% his fault. He is not good enough to play like that bullshit, no one on our team is sad to say.
any other team we would be losing. this is just a joke now how many we have missed? Jones to me is one of our best players, his passing has been incredible.
he wasn't showing off, he was being extremely casual and he paid for it he should have shot it with his left, first touch man but i partake in the frustration lol no its not, what kinda fan are you...or is it just emotions cause you're saying some pretty strong things
i get a feeling this is one of those games with more questions than answers some promising performances, but overall vs jamaica i expect some better finishing
emotions but still Dempsey must have had 5 goals in him tonight. the whole team needs to finish though, we won't get this lucky against a better Jamaica if we can't finish our chances. I have to say also bringing Ream to start was bad. He didn't even make the bench today so now his confidence is shot, lets hope he can rebound.
damn, either guadeloupe playd their best defence game of their life. or US, was straight up not interested in this game. 1 goal only?
Eh, not so bad. 1) Guadeloupe ain't St. Lucia. In 2007 they beat Canada (the same Canada who gave us everything the US could handle in the semis) and Honduras........before losing to Mexico 1-0. In 2009 they beat (ahem) Panama. We struggled against that same Panama team in the quarterfinals, getting a penalty call in extra time to win. 2) The USMNT completely dominated the game last night. We had chance after chance after chance.........and just couldn't score the 2nd. On another night that's 4-0. Our two best attacking players (Donovan and Dempsey) missed absolute sitters. I personally think the players knew 1-0 was good enough, and they lost their edge. Can't do that against other teams. Will the USMNT need to play better against Jamaica? Absolutely. But let's not pretend like a 1-0 victory over Guadeloupe is a disaster.
