What I have always loved about him is how big he'd show up in big moments, saving penalties at the U-20 World Cup, saving that penalty in the MLS playoffs last year, he seemed to combine Hamid's shot stopping skill set with a much sounder, and complete game, and consistency. He should be the #1 no matter how inexperienced he is.
Trapp is not athletic enough 1v1 to play at this level. Robinson is the real deal at LB. Julian has been great in possession. Tyler Adams relishes the challenge of playing against Pogba.
If he plays well under Zidane and not under Deschamps clearly it's coach's fault. And let's be honest: Zidane has accomplished more than Deschamps, so it's clearly the coach's fault
Under no circumstances should either player continue. Remind me again where Twellman got his medical degree?
And yeah, no chance whatsoever either of those guys should stay on the field. Get them off, you don't mess w/concussions.
Giroud subbed off with a bandage on his head, but he didn't seem particularly phased. Hope that's a good sign. EPB on for Miazga. He's been very good today overall, I hope he's ok.
Kind of insane to think that 60 minutes in, we should be winning 2-0 if Wood hadn't totally botched that run (then again maybe he isn't in position to finish it). I would have put the chances of that happening at about 1 in 100.
Teams that have nothing to lose tend to over-perform if they're feeling confident. Ask the T&T B-team about how that works...
IMO Miazga has established himself as our #1 CB (or perhaps #2 after a healthy John Brooks) in this interim period.
