US backline has Krieger starting and presumably Beuhler back on the left, with LePeilbet and Rampone as the central pairing.

Well, well, the grid on ESPN has LePeilbet on the left . . . interesting.

Nice to see ESPN committing both a three person studio (Ley, Dicicco, Scurry) and a two person, on location PBP/color (Darke, Foudy) team to the game.

Anthems. England are respectful. Several Yank groups with flags.

00' 0-0 England kicks off, probes up the right to the corner.
01' 0-0 England passes from 40m to 25m arc left, heel back-flick through box top center springs #10 Kelly Smith into a foot race -- Barnhart charges way out and wins it by 0.5m as Smith sprawls over her.

That was close--US defense allows ball to bounce in the box on a corner kick.

Les Cut. Just in time for the summer. I wonder how it looks dry. Maybe she got the Rapinoe/Bieber.

I also see that they are not wearing the new kits.

04' 0-0 USA are pinned in our own half. England left corner, #11 Rachel Yankey drives it low left post, England miss a diving header flick try, ball skips untouched to #7 Jess Clark(?) at 0.9m center, who tries a right-instep hacky-sack backflick, but pops it over the crossbar.

England scores. They penetrate down the(ir) left and then a high ball in the box.

It was, but man she was pretty much all alone there! Defense not looking very confident.

    Now they have 3 Biebers.

Someone said that the new jerseys wouldn't be worn until their next match anyway.

08' 1-0 England through-ball beats USA's back line up box left, footrace to endline. Krieger face-plants, ball trickles into a 50-50 at 6-left foot -- cleared sky-high, 20m+. Drops and bounces inside the 6, #6 Amy LePeilbet is well boxed out by somebody posting up, her over-the-back leaping header misses. Ball bounces again, out to #7 Jess Clarke waiting patiently at 8m left post, plays it off the bounce and drives it low left, between Barnhart and the post.
