ugh this game comes on at 4.30 am in Doha and have to work that day... so it's going to be an early night tonight... just wondering, is "21:30" eastern time the actual match kickoff time, or is that what time the opening ceremonies are and stuff.. I've seen it where MLS games apparently kickoff at a certain time, but actually kick off much later.... want to get as much sleep as possible lol....

kickoff is at like 9:30 PM here in Miami. Idk what the time difference is between here and Qatar but do the math.

I don't think it will be easy. I actually think USA matches up with Colombia well enough to possibly earn a point. The key for the US is to not let James, Cuadrado and Cardona control the game. Bacca without service is not very dangerous. And Colombia's defense is far from perfect so the US can hope to steal a goal on a set piece.

But even if Colombia drops two points against USA, they should advance along with Paraguay.

I don't think it'll be easy but we are vastly superior when on form. I expect something similar to when we beat the US in London not too long ago. I think it'll be a solid win for us unless we have a hiccup in defense and the US get a dumb PK or a freebie.

I heard the stadium was not sold out yet, but that 75% tickets already went to Colombia supporters. I wonder if this gameday thread will be similarly skewed? ;)

I'm more nervous than I thought I'd be to watch this match... wondering which team(s) show up tonite.

so jealous of anyone who's at the game today. I'm still a bit buzzed from the Haiti game I went to. Environment must be electric.

I find it hard to believe that it will be 75% Colombian.

A very nicely "blended" family. Or perhaps "conflicted" would be a better word? ;)

I did do the math... 21.30 EDT = 4.30 am Qatar time... I just wanted to make sure that's the actual kickoff time as it's happened before wiht games in the US that the time shown is not the actual kickoff time.. I remember waking up at a ridiculous hour to watch the MLS Cup final only to watch an hour of pregame shows when I could have slept in... every minute counts

From what I've heard the opening ceremonies start at 21.00 EDT. So pretty sure the match kicks -off at 21.30 or at the latest 21.35 (since sporting events in the US typically start a few minutes late).

Im not sure why anyone would think this would be an easy match either way. Very close, tough battle, that I think the US win 2 to 1, unless Aston Villa Brad shows up then all bets are off.

Good luck and have fun watching. This should be a cagey match-up. We have a few new guys in the lineup.
