I just feel like that sums up Pulisic's year: on his last touch, he gets smashed in the face with a ball from three feet away.
Im not sure I see him as a cm but his versatility is encouraging. He really could have helped during qualifying
Fair enough. I’m sure a lot of folks like Stu the commentator in part because they liked Stu the player (and by all accounts Stu the person is a good guy). I agree with you on guys like Ray Hudson, who I find absolutely intolerable. If I were a FS1 producer, I’d tell him to stop using Anglophile turns of phrase because when he does, it doesn’t sound natural (which shouldn’t be the case given his background), and work on being less focused on the obvious during his commentary. I don’t often find him pointing out something that wasn’t readily apparent. I also feel like sometimes he’s hesitant to state his opinion on a play (the Ramos judo-toss on Salah on Saturday being fresh in my mind). There’s a way to be opinionated without sounding like a blowhard like Lalas. He’s better than Twellman, though, because I don’t feel like I got yelled at for 90 minutes. So he’s got hat going for him.
