There will always be some form of secondary market. Whether it's sketchy craigslist deals or what we all have to wait and see how US soccer coordinated the thing with ticketmaster

  2. Professional scalpers will sell no problem.
Fan scalpers will have a more difficult time, stubhub won't take their mobile tix...and I don't think vividseats will either.
So it is craigslist for them ... and at that point trust becomes an issue.

Well, I just booked a flight to Columbus for the 11th. Never been to WCQ game and THIS is the game to attend from watching them on TV all of these years. I couldnt wait to find out the results of the lottery.

Well, it is not advertised but I am sure that is what they are doing. Why do you think it will take 2 weeks for a lottery? So they can go one by one and eliminate based onlast name and FB posts.

No it's based on your past attendance. Some of the highest capped fans have Hispanic backgrounds

Then your chances are pretty low. The lottery is designed to give as many tickets as possible to AO, Sammers and USSC. I'm not privy to internal US soccer information but three years ago AO sold 7000 tickets in a few hours, so the amount of tickets in a 20,000 person stadium leftover for the general public for this will be as minimal as possible.

I booked through southwest and roundtrip from Chicago was $137. If I dont get tickets (which is the most probable result), I can just cancel the flight and apply it to a future purchase.

I'm in the lottery and noticed they charged my credit card at the time I signed up, but a day later refunded the amount. I'm hoping that's not an indication I didn't make the cut!

Interestingly, they asked me as an AO member whether I would accept tickets outside of the official AO section. If the demand is there, they should just fill up the entire stadium with AO/USSF/Sam members, and just drop the general pop sale.

My suspicion is that's just about what they are going to do. They are going to give out as many ao, Sammers and usssc tickets as possible. The new tickeymaster portal gives them a lot more information on just who is who.
