I won't be there this time - I do hope everyone gets along. The Mexican fans in Columbus last time were extremely gracious and they let me and any other Gringos who wanted to crash their tailgate, which was amazing. Two marachi(sp) bands, tons of food and beer and tequila and they could not have been nicer.

Tifo is much more South American and south and Eastern Europe than British.

I can't think of a better way to divide US fans and detract from the game

That's wildly off-base. Tifo doesn't really exist in England outside of The Kop in Liverpool. The singing culture in the US is very different than England.

I think that the US is actually a pretty good melting pot of football cultures and traditions from around the globe, including some of our own unique flair.

Crap. Something has come up and I can no longer make the trip.

2 tickets to sell at face value in AO section. If I can't get a buyer by this evening, I'll have to dump them on Stubhub, which I'd hate to do.

I am a nice as the next guy, and I will help make sure things stay cool. But I will likely say "FU Rafa" more than once. Guy has earned it. Hope everyone can distinguish that from senseless jingoism or racism. :)

I strongly encourage anyone attending the game to strike a tone of acceptance and reassurance, to embrace and engage the Mexican fans -- so many of whom are immigrants or have family members that are immigrants, documented or otherwise. This is a community that is currently AFRAID. I live and teach in a predominantly Latino community, and there is palpable fear that this is the beginning of something ranging from Operation ************** to Manzanar. Some at the game may lash out because of that fear, but remember what it is driven by -- and help them transcend it.

It is our responsibility as world citizens -- and as fans of soccer, I know many of us are more global in our perspectives -- to let the Mexican community know that America will not turn its back on them. That fundamentally, they are welcome here, as is everyone, and now, more than ever, we are ALL in this together. Because of the significance of this game to Mexico and the Mexican community here, that acceptance should be on full display, however you want to do it. The world will be watching us, and it is our chance to be bigger than the game.

I personally feel players are fair game. Pretty much can yell just about whatever you want to them really

I mean they serve pizza and French fries in the stadium. Why can't they serve American food! Like bison steaks

Bring a ball to kick around! No, but the AO bars will be a walk-able distance from wherever they drop you off.

I miss the negative rep option. This is not who we are. I met a man from Mexico today and he said that his 12 year old son who was born in the US is a USA fan and they good-naturely argue when the games come about. Chants such as the one you suggest threaten to cast a divide over some Latino-Americans who are also very much USA supporters, but also of Mexican heritage. We can not stand for this. We can not stand to alienate/put fear into some of our very own supporters. I will boo anything I hear at the game like this and say something to an AO Watch member if this occurs in an AO section. I recommend everyone else do the same.

If there is a "build that wall" chant I will be very disappointed. That's not who we are.

If some fan starts it, I hope 100 times as many fans shout them down, whether it be with chants of U-S-A or something else.

if it is someone in the AO section - find an AO member with a yellow badge and report them - have them thrown out of the stadium.
