Yes, there are still many unsold $200+ tickets. And plenty of resales as well. There is something curious going on with resale tickets. 16 seat rows all for sale at the same price. Each subsequent higher row costs a little less. How does that happen for a game with a 4 ticket limit? Are those unused sponsor, Match Day Hospitality, or Ultimate Fan tickets that are going straight to resale rather than to regular sale? Coincidence? Interesting. I noticed something similar when I unsuccessfully tried to get a MLS Cup ticket last December. When the sale was live for Toronto STH's only, I could see the blue dots. Whole rows, even chunks of rows, were missing in the extra upper grandstand left over from the Grey Cup. I read reports on reddit that whole rows ended up on resale sites immediately after the presale went live; again, for a match with a ticket limit (4?). With Seat Geek a MLS sponsor, I wonder if the league or teams provide them directly with inventory without it ever being available to the general public.
There's a lot of ways that that stuff happens. Sometimes with the consent of the venue sometimes not. That said this game does not seem like a remotely good target for scalpers considering the cheapest ticket is already absurdly priced at like $120
Why is there security screening, and a small-see-through-bag limitation, every game at Avaya Stadium? If the Quakes are a terrorist target every game, as protocol would seem to indicate, my guess is that the USMNT will be an even more attractive target for this game, which means enhanced security screening, as the helpful email from US Soccer suggests will be the case. Is it "political" to point that out? And the odds of ICE being present for a game at which you can expect a large congregation of Central Americans is vastly greater than the odds of terrorism. Do you disagree? Is it really "political" to point that out?
See through bags is standard security protocol these days. And there have been violence issues at sports games that have nothing to do with terrorism. And I strongly disagreee that ICE is going to pop up at a soccer team and start hassling random folks. But this is an off topic distraction you should vent about in a myriad of other places on the internet.
Yeah I'm going to say this topic of ICE officers and such is off topic. Although I did chuckle at unauthorized kneeling
I can't figure out how to send my tickets to my phone. Is it messed up or is it just cause I'm old and stupid with technology?
Make sure that you are logging in from your mobile device to view the tickets. Are you using an iphone? If so it will have a little icon for the Apple Wallet which you can download the tickets to.
For those going, I'll be flying solo at the AO pre-game tomorrow. I'll have my huge bowling ball style USA helmet on, lets grab a cold one together. Looking like a fool, but damn proud....
