    derby u.k.
Take it from me as a Limey, we know you've got a good and improving team and an improving league to supply it with players.

    England 2-1 US.
US scores on a penalty in the second half. England scores one off a set piece,

Landon Donovan, Kasey Keller, Brian McBride - plus all the other starting players who all have multiple caps... USA is far closer to fullstrength than England.

Which just goes to show how much stronger England are, and how the USA has no chance of winning anything in the next 30 years.

England IS a better team, the statistics show it. This game doesnt reflect it though...If they play in the world cup it will reflect, because they will have best against best. Right now, this is just as good as comparing our under-17 teams to show which world cup qualifying team is better.

That is false though...fanatic speech. US has real talent, and has potential for making the top 8 again. With a few more years, we could be making top 4. Dont get me wrong, I dont think we will be world cup winners any time soon(nor do I think england will). But 30 years? Come on, thats stupid.

It wasn't a penalty, it was off a free kick from outside the box that Boca slid and directed on frame only to have james make a kick save, however the rebound went in off Dempsey. A nice play by the US. Englands goals were well played, Pope was useless back there for the US.
The English backline gave up quite a few passes in their third. But they did a great job of breaking up the US attack.

Have to say the game was a good one, the fans were really into it, not sure how well it came off on TV, but I had a blast. The English fans were fun to be around. Almost all the English fans around me held their breath when that handling in the box should have been called.

LD was ******** in this match. He dogged it quite a bit out there, Dempsey was good all game, and Steve C. played a very solid game.

What a stupid question England is a bad football team, but against USA, England will win clearly with about 4-5 goals.
US. is ranked about 10th best in the world, no way, that is because USA is USA, lets say Trinidad would have performed exactly the same thing, they wouldnt have been ranked 10th, no no no, and im ********ing tired of this site, Bigsoccer is a good site, the users are incredible small minded.
Just look at those who honestly think that USA have a chance.........that shows a lack of knowledge, i can only laugh......

The game put things into perspective this is how things are like:

U.S.A worse than England B-team with home side advantage

U.S.A for a very short while better than 2002 Portugal (who had a crap coach and Figo was injured along with none of the players playing properly)

while England B-team is as good (the 2-1 win) as mexico with a home side advantage lets see what mexico are like away

but England worse than new Portugal (2004 with preety much all "the golden generation" gone)

so overall if England went out with their A-team the scoreline would be a lot bigger
